We have to wait until around November until the weather starts to become favorable again down here in south Florida. Maybe I'll have 4.08's + uprev tune by then. I'm going to start saving my pennies now.

And its good to see everyone is now more motivated to run their cars after seeing the rankings. :)

Thanks J! I had fun it had been about three years since I ran a car in the 1/4.

I used to setup a water sprayer for my intercooler in the summer. The water coupled with the air passing by has a nice cooling effect. It does not help as much as cool temperatures, but it was noticeable.

Man I hope I can get down to a 1.8 60' with this car that is nice. Im just confused that you only ran a 11.9 with TT and that quick of a 60'.

:werd:

I guess that puts me at #1 in the worse than stock category :bowrofl:

If I put tires on they will be the stock tires.

Ok, maybe this is a dumb question but am I to believe that guys on here are running high 12's on all stock Z's?

yes, but it's important to look at run conditions when evaluating times.

I don't really know. The grip can't be as good though.

b1adesofcha0s 05-20-2011 07:45 PM

If I upgrade to sport package wheels/tires, it still counts as stock right?

jnaut 05-20-2011 08:50 PM

stock is stock, if you replace you tires with the original ones that came on the car then it is stock...if not then its modded. I feel the only exception is a oil cooler as it doesn't make power just allows you to keep what was there already.

GTM just dynoed the stage 2 SC @ 523 rwhp.
When it get to me it should put me low 11's. or better
Just have to wait till he ships it too me.
this just means that im going to have to get my 7 AT built or it will not last long and probaly have to put differnet gears in the diff.

So would you consider my car with 2 all season tires as modded?

grip probably wasn't much of a factor on your run though.

Not on my first run, but I was on the last 3. I think it was because of track prep though.
