DA = 900 - 1100 ft

2010 Touring 7AT
Mods are:
Empty trunk - 3450 lbs with 250 lb driver
Enkei 18 x 10.5 rear wheels w/ MT ET Str SS 285 tires @ 23 psi
MT skinny fronts on 18” factory spare wheels
Stillen G3 Intake
48 row cooler (ET penalty due to weight)
Mobile 1 10-30w oil
DIY ported upper and lower intake
Motordyne ART pipes
Ackrapovic CBE
No yaw or traction control
10 gal E85
GTR Injectors
Ecutec tune
3.69 Gear w/VLSD
Odessey 680 battery
Synolimit TBs
Z1 2 pc front rotors

Car runs good, but it is maxed out and is going about as fast as it can with the power available. Happy with the 12.89 but feel like the Ackrapovic exhaust may be holding it back? Scratching my head on what to do next...any suggestions are welcome.

Hmm IDK man we have very similar mods so you should be close to what I run. Only thing I can think of is you need better weather. I was running 12.6@111 in 900 DA this summer. I ran 12.45@113 yesterday in -700 DA. We are both on E85 and I think the biggest differences are that I'm on UPREV, have long tube headers and im on stock gears. Are you dyno tuned or street tuned?

SG4247 11-05-2018 06:13 PM

Actually track tuned on about 12 full 1/4 mile runs.

Each one data logged, and tweaked.

I also have Ecutek racerom timing control on the cruise control button. So, i can advance or retard the timing +2.5 degrees or - 2.5 degrees from nominal WOT TIMING. So, I had advanced the timing until the MPH fell off. Then I backed up slightly from there and got the best ET 12.898 and MPH 108.38. So ignition timing is pretty well optimised.

Y'all are gonna make me have to do e85 ... And I really don't want to

Skip e85 & go for e90

hustleman222 11-06-2018 02:28 AM

I've got some injectors already collecting dust, would just need the pump and tune, I just hate the pain in the arse trying to find consistent e85. We are supposed to have some good weather this weekend for IFO... And will have several vq out there for a showdown for the fastest N/A in Louisiana. If I can't break a 12.24 I will go ahead and do it, seeing all the pressure y'all are putting down

SG4247 11-06-2018 07:56 AM

I didnt even install a pump.

Just some $120 GTR injectors from fleabay.

I didnt want to install admin intakes and 3” exhaust either.

Heck as well as you guys are going with Uprev, that may be next!

I doubt your exhaust is holding you back. I went from a dual 3" exhaust to a single 3" and think 2.5" duals would probably be fine

Be sure you have plenty of fuel available (injector sizing & pump size) as it will require nearly 2.5x as much fuel as an N/A engine at that boost level :ugh2:

The slip. Running R888’s

SG4247 01-12-2019 12:45 PM

Thats amazing!

At 3400 lbs and 325 whp is like a 12.65 at sea level.

So either making more than 325 hp, less than 3400 lbs, or mineshaft (neg DA) conditions.

Most calculators say 385 whp at 3400 lbs is 12.05 ET at sea level.

Went last friday night. Car is the same except I added the Z1 2 piece rear rotors.

Getting to be a bracket car!

From 12.85 to 12.95 all night long!

Good weather last Friday night. So I went back to Thunder Valley again to try and improve on the 12.85 from the previous Friday.

Place was packed with cars - over 300! A few street outlaw guys there running for the track list program, and a pile of real street cars. Track got really slick and the staff had trouble keeping up with all the people.

Anyway, ran a 12.82 with a 1.979 60' time. Hauling the mail @ 111 mph!

Previous best 60' is 1.922.

Remaining runs for the night were worse..but no question I can go 12.70s if I improve the 60 foot time.

Looks like first post hasn't been updated since 2015, and "Tranceformer" hasn't been online since 2016.

MODS! Can someone take ownership of the first post and get it updated?

Well the heat wave is over, and a cold front blew in so I wanted to try some runs on the Z.

They cancelled the Friday night fun and grudge due to wind, so I figured I’d just go run the regular Saturday Summit bracket program. At least I could get three runs in on a semi prepped track.

Car ran well in footbrake class, won a few rounds and had a good time.

Best run 12.87 with a 1.98 sixty - car was heavy and full of fuel.

I’d say that second slips trap-speed would have to be the best run :ugh2:

Not sure how that happened, but its a NA record !

Went back to Thunder Valley today. Great weather in OKC for racing.

56 F no wind, and really dry air. 600 to 800 ft DA!

The 370 loved it, and the slips proved it.

Drove it down there, about 60 miles from the house, drove up to the lanes, and it ripped off a 12.66 @ 110 mph.

1.92 - 1.96 sixty foot.

Very pleased - only change is aam 3” dual exhaust!

Previous best was 12.82 earlier this year with Ackrapovic exhaust.

jchammond 11-02-2019 09:44 PM

No 187mph trap speed this time :ugh2:

SG4247 11-02-2019 10:17 PM

Not today, had a slight 5 mph headwind!

I need an F5 tornado tailwind to repeat that again!

Whats funny is everyone at the track thinks its boosted.

Im like its NA man, 14.7 psi !!

So, I installed the Nitrous Express GTR dual plate nitrous kit that was originally installed on CarbonZ’s car by Z1.

Very pleased with the system overall. I am on E85 and have the original factory fuel pump from 2010 model year with 50k miles on it.

Seb wrote me an E85 + Nitrous tune, but we are seeing lean spots from the factory pump not keeping up with the demand when nitrous is on. No suprise.

Anyway, took it to the dragstrip last night, and made some decent runs in the heat and humidity. New pump and CJM top hat is here waiting for install.

12.399 @ 113 mph - new nitrous record on a 75 shot. There is lots left in it!

Keep forgetting about this thread. Nothing to write home about. 2nd time at the strip since purchase. Stock with Z1 intakes.

That car is fully gutted. Trunk/hatch panels, spare(obviously), door panels gone, bumper cut, and I think even the passenger seat...and something like 340whp iirc

SG4247 08-20-2020 12:45 PM

I have mine down to 3360 lbs with a 240 lb fat azz driver. My car is pretty stripped down at this point. Bone stock, it was 3610 lbs with driver. So, I've removed 250 lbs.

At 2950 lbs with 340 whp - this would get you barely in the 11's in the right conditions.

I would like to get mine down 2950-3000 lbs, but I really enjoy the AC and the radio!

Went to Thunder Valley last night. New Deutch Works fuel pump.

Car had the 100 shot in the NX GTR kit. Really humid and hot, so the motor doesnt like that humidity or heat.

Now it wants to wheel hop going into 2nd, and I have a stumble when the system activates.

So there is some work to do to sort it all out.

Its cooled off here in Okla, so its a nice 65-75 degrees finally.

Intstalled a Nitrous Express MaxEz progressive controller to help modulate the flow of nitrous and fuel to the motor. This really helped the engine, tires and drivetrain over the old school on/off solenoid.

At this point, I have the progressive coming on with the TPS digital switch at WOT. Then the progressive starts at 20% and ramps up to 100% over 1.0 second.

SebZ had been extremely helpful to get the AFR correct, so I dont tear this deal up.

Old lady rode with me, we had a good time!

Car runs excellent with more tuning to do.
