Andre from Edge Racing in Cali did it for me. I had one of his convertors in my old nitrous 350z and maxima racecar. I sent my stock convertor out to him while the trans was off to replace my cracked flexplate. I had a shop do the work and had them install my longtubes at the same time

AJ how does the high stall feel in the 370? Does it feel like your old one can hardly tell normal driving.

I'm going for the NA 7AT record soon hopefully in Jan tracks are still open down south.

ajcool2 was doing the video. Car weighs 3800 with me in it. I'm 240.

Mods on this run

Z1 manifold
NST pulleys
AAM intakes
eBay test pipes and exhaust (Beluga)
3.7 FD
Ecutek tuned by Seb@specialtyZ

New mods
Ported upper and lower manifold
3in intakes
ATI crank pulley
JWT cams
PPE longtube headers
Aluminum driveshaft
FI CF exhaust
Z1 2 piece front rotors (weigh 19-20lbs per rotor vs stock 30lbs per rotor)

Hopefully the new mods will get me there or faster

Why is it I cannot find any R34 GTR vs 370Z videos anywhere on the web.

I am curious to know how the Z does against the infamous R34 on a 1/4 mile strip stock for stock, or in a circuit.

Anyone have any links?

We're gonna hit up a small meet and drag strip soon, my car is mainly used to autocross so I'm gonna change my shocks, tighten front up and loosen rear, right now I'm at -1.7 degrees rear camber, what would anyone recommend on rear camber for straight line? Is 0 the best option, just going to throw on the re-71r autocross tire on the rear and have fun

ChaseZ 02-10-2017 09:44 AM

The closer to 0 the better; this will depend on your suspension setup if that is attainable or not. You obviously have coilovers so if you have camber and toe arms then you're good to go.

What are you planning on airing down to with those 071's? I have them on my front not rears so haven't played with them that way. If they are like most start at 17psi then move up or down in 1psi increments until you get enough traction with little to no wheel spin.

Are you pulling the brake fuse and perform a burnout? With a brake torque, under 2' 60" is easily achievable.

With my bone stock 370, my best time was 12.9 It was 40 degrees though

Went to the dragstrip Friday night with my 370Z WHTRICE.

I have done the following mods to the car:

1. K&N drop in filters (dont help much - if at all).
2. Z1 silicon tubes (dont help much - if all).
3. Enkei PF01 18"x10.5" 38 OS rear wheels.
4. MT ET Street SS 285/40/18.
5. VDC and yaw sensor disabled.
6. Brake fuse removed.
7. 5 gal of 87 and 5 gal of VP101.
8. Empty trunk
9. Akrapovic Cat Back exhaust

The car is a 2010 7AT, and I find it very finicky and surprisingly complex to drive well at the dragstrip.

It is very sensitive to ambient temperature, underhood temp and track temperature.

Car would 60' 2.11 to 2.17 all night during street car grudge night running 13.70-13.80. There was quite abit of water tracked up to the starting line. Then they ran a couple of jet dragsters, and the jet blast and heat completely cleaned and dried the track! I drove right up to the starting line after the jets, and made the best pass ever with a 2.06 60" time with a solid 13.50 ET.

I ended up at 23 psi in the MT ET Streets.

That's a lot of tire SG4247; are you spinning off the line;or hooking up...cause when a N/A A/T hook's w/3.357 gears,,they will actually bog a bit.
