I thought I would post a video of my first session in HPDE Group 3 as there were a number of examples of why situational awareness is the first rule of safety on the track and the street for that matter.

Yeah, our group 3 has the most cars of the four groups. Our group leader asked at least four guys to move up. I think we have something 24 to 26 people. I made the mistake of starting towards the back because I was new to the group and the track.

I love Chumpcar. A friend of mine used to race in it. Can't remember the name of his team.
Did you happen to race and the Corvette track in Bowling Green, KY two years ago?

When Im doing a trackday and run into heavy traffic and get stuck in it. I will do a stop and go in the pits. Hopefully this will let some of the cars to break up.

Hotrodz, what gearshift knob do you have there? Do you run a short shifter as well?
