I just put a Wavetrac in my car (supercharged G37). I gotta say, there are no bad side effects! I have a Cusco 1.5 way LSD in my other car, and it creaks and moans in parking lots, when slowly backing out of a parking space, it actually binds and stops the car... But with the Wavetrac, there are none of these issues. It acts like a stock diff everywhere except for when you're running power through it. When it does, it just locks - no drama at all. And when it's locked, it stays locked, no kickback in a slide like the stock VLSD, and you can easily just drive out of a turn, wheelspin or no. Overall, I'd highly recommend it. It makes the rear end of the car completely predictable, and helps address the issue of not being able to put power down with these cars.

I tend to lift the inside rear tire going in and it unloads the tire. The car just sort of sits there spinning the wheel unless I have just the right amount of momentum where I will clear the incline and not scrape the bottom of the car. In actual driving situations I'm sure I wouldn't be able to tell the difference most of the time. Either way, coming from an open diff the Quaife was a HUGE improvement.
To solve this, drag a little brake & the other side will grab no problem.

If I didn't have the Quaife already, I would join on.

Good luck guys

Can anyone give more insite on this that knows more about the auto vs 6mt diffs?? It just confuses me as I thought they were the same. Can it work with Nissan 6mt diff parts bought like the stubs?

"""Chris said it was the carrier offset that doesn't allow it to work. Said there wasn't enough demand to make a new carrier.""""

I think the only difference is on the driveshaft side. The auto versus 6MT transmissions use different driveshafts, otherwise the VLSD or open diffs are the same, as far as I know.

Just confirming, with the 7AT and VLSD, only the one axle flange needed? (38220-JK01B)

I am pretty sure wavetrac doesn't make a 7AT compatible LSD. When I tried to buy mine, they didn't.
