Default 0-60 and 1/4 mile

Hey guys,

How much would you say a FI CBE and Stillen Gen3 with a tune improves a 0-60 and 1/4 mile. I know every engine is a little different and tires play a part etc, but in a general ballpark?

I would guess maybe .2 - .3 seconds 0-60 and maybe slightly more 1/4 mile?

Does anyone have these mods and have any performance results?

Probably not much the tune would make the most difference here. Just look at the forced induction times guys with 600 whp knocking off like just a 1 second. Traction is the main culprit in the Z 1/4 times.

I don't think it matters to be honest because a better driver could still beat you if he was stock so those mods would barely make a difference at all. It's not enough to overcome a drivers race imo or enough to determine if it was just a good time the driver posted or a bad one or the mods.

You'd be lucky to see much change in 0-60 period due to traction/launch being the biggest issue with the Z in a drag race. Maybe .2-.3 in the 1/4 mile as a whole, depending on how good the tune is. The intake/exhaust combo is only good for about 20whp over stock anyway. A tune might give you another 5-10 with a virtually stock car.

Save the mod money and get some 305 RE 11 or PSS. Faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile times guaranteed

Also a real "locking" LSD will help a bunch. (I'm not a 1/4 mile guy per say, but I'd say this should come first to get your power to the road)

I put in the full Z1 400 hp kit in and it really didn't change my 1/4 mile time very much. (driving well is more important in my 6mt)

ET won't change much, but you'll pick up quite a bit of trap speed. 0-60 is a measure of traction, not power. Z's have issues getting out of the hole stock, so unless you improve grip 0-60 won't change much.

Ya i'm going to get Pilot Super Sport tires. I hear those have the best grip for track and street use. Not sure I am going to get a set of dedicated slicks for the track even though that would be ideal.

Any thoughts on stickier tires besides Pilot Super Sports?
