Hey ref. At least take the USA out to dinner! They like to get wined and dined before they get F*CKED!
|
Holy crap what a comeback!
|
Amazing game. Glad i bothered to watch
|
Epic! Amazing that soccer is not more popular in the U.S.
|
|
I'm so glad I was bored at work & started watching the WWC last week. All the matches I've watched have been incredible.
|
^Love the avatar, haha.
Yes, what a comeback that was. Honestly for me, the US deserved to win that game. To play the way they did after going down to 10 men to hold Brazil to extra time. The goal to put the Brazilians in front that should have been disallowed because it looked like the player who delivered the cross was half a step offsides. The theatrics of the Brazilian players in extra time was appalling and disgrace to the game, especially the player who went down with a back injury on the pitch to be carried off on a stretcher, then miraculously run back on the field of play as if nothing happened; she must have talked with Dani Alves before the match. Even despite all that, I'm very impressed with what the women were able to accomplish yesterday. Now if only the senior men's team can step up... |

I know it's only the All Stars of Malaysia, but I'm liking the effort this morning.
|
didnt get to see the match being that i'm in Germany and dont have access to internet fast enough to handle the stream, how did the newbs play? how was Ryo? Jenkinson?
|
dunno. i'm watching USA / France right meow, i forgot about the friendly lol. i'm hearing rosicky scored?
the USMNT can learn so much from the ladies. no nonsense, no sense of being overawed, just get out onto the pitch and get the job done! liking the aggression the team is showing |
Xavi appeals for Cesc Fabregas' Arsenal suffering to end - ESPN Soccernet
shut the F*CK up xavi, you annoying c*nt bastard mini-commentary: USA is running France off of the field! going for a ball heading to the side lines, two American midfielders outsprint their French counterparts! |
Rosicky scored goal #4, by a header no less.
I missed the first half, so I didn't get to see Myachi, et al. On the WWC, ESPN3's player isn't launching for some reason. It's really pissing me off. |
Got it working. I really love the way France's team play-- they're so fluid on the ball. Necib is a bit of a ball stopper, though.
In other news, I want to mate with Gaëtane Thiney. |
the guardian is comparing this game to arsenal v. stoke. i had to laugh a little bit.
you can have thiney, i can haz the usa goalie? :) rapinoe to the rescue!!!!! |
OOOOOOH
THAT WAS THE CHANCE TO GO 2-1!!!! f*ck!!! |
THERE IT IS!!!!
Stoke City have the lead! er....:wtf2: edit: France shellshocked!!!!!!!!!! |

& word to having Solo. Me & Thiney have some time to ourselves now. |
honestly i like how japan plays more than the americans. so much more expansive, and sawa is a real engine in the midfield. but i'll be damned if USA isn't effective, and they truly have a 'never say die' attitude...not like the men's team.
watching sweden against japan right now...2nd half, japan OFF THE CROSSBAR on a great volley! If you guys aren't watching Japan right now, this is RIDICULOUS. They are playing out of their minds!!! 3rd goal for Japan was glorious! LMAO they're calling Nadesico Japan the womens' version of Barcelona!!! |
They're pretty god damn impressive.
|
Even behind 3-1, Japanelona hold the ball that the Swedish have to drop nine defending & leave only a forward up front to try to run on to long balls.
|
How is it that the JWNT can play this well, and the JMNT suck!?
|
They did make it to the quarterfinals of the WC-- that's hardly sucking.
|
True, I was being a little sarcastic and overwhelmed at how the women's team is manhandling a pretty good (albeit injured) Swedish squad. Incredible stuff to watch right now, I'm loving this!
|
That was damn impressive.
|
USA = Inter
Japan = Barcelona? |
Great games today for USA and JAPAN. I don't want to jinx but I have good a feeling that we going to win the world cup. :happydance:

Bayern is starting to look VERY dangerous this coming season.

I've got the over/ under for Japan/ Barca references at three for the match. Any takers?
|
頑張った、日本!
|
I'm disappointed that the Americans lost, but I'm proud that they at least made it that far. :usa:
|
Japan deserved it. USA didnt at all.

Seattle Sounders - 0
Manchester United - 7 Seattle Sounders 0-7 Manchester United - ESPN Soccernet Lol, granted this was a friendly, but WOW. I didn't think the gap in quality between Europe and MLS was this large. |
I'm a Sounder's season ticket holder and man that was painful to watch! We did well in the first half IMO (only down 1-0), but I was in shock and awe mode when they lit us up in the second half, was like watching the Yankees play my old high school team! Here's a bunch of pics I took:

Hopefully you got to spit on some MU players.
|
^lol
Great pics! My hometown MLS team, DC United, are in a friendly with Everton this weekend. Hopefully we can get a good result. Ok, a decent result will do. |
Of all the European teams MLS teams have faced in friendlies thus far, only Everton has lost (to Philadelphia).
West Brom even won. |
