I'm interested in seeing how Blaine Gabbert does against the Ravens' D. Supposedly he's been doing really good this preseason, which could mean absolutely nothing. Though the Jaguars did beat the Ravens last season.......:stirthepot:

If you still need some people by time the draft comes around I will probably jump in. I'm doing 3 leagues already and don't want to burn myself out lol. I did 4 last year and it got frustrating. You guys do just for fun or is there a buy in?

I think having no MJD will put a lot of pressure on Gabbert. Having Laurent Robinson will be a nice addition for him though!

Alright, I'll let you know. There's one person who said they will join this after this weekend. 2 others have expressed some interest, but haven't registered yet. Have 2 spots open at the moment.

:iagree: I think they are screwed without MJD. He's pretty much their entire offense.

Nismo89 08-23-2012 09:34 PM

i know its only preseason but dang!

Ravens 48
Jags 17

everything that the ravens wanted to see.. they got to see! everyone was playing very well!

b1adesofcha0s 08-23-2012 09:44 PM

Yeah the Jags are nothing without MJD.

Nismo89 08-23-2012 09:48 PM

pretty bad that one player makes a team lol! but! i have to say.. couldnt have gone any better tonight,

i feel sorry for Jag Fans right now though, as the commentator said..... "Jags are in trouble with MJD holding out after seeing their performance tonight!"

b1adesofcha0s 08-23-2012 09:57 PM

If you're an average team and you wanna wait through a star player's holdout, that's one thing. When you're already one of the worst offenses in the NFL and your only play maker on that side of the ball is holding out, you need to make a compromise to get him on the field. I can see the Jags this season being the Colts from last season. They're gonna tank the whole season and end up with the #1 pick for 2013.

Nismo89 08-23-2012 11:50 PM

if not then it'll be the 2nd pick lol.........

Nismo89 08-26-2012 12:00 PM

early reports today is the Ravens Cut Ties with Kicker Billy Cundiff. ........no official word as of yet at this time and therefore no links, but word on the street is... Cundiff was released.

ddot196 08-26-2012 12:14 PM

MJD better get back in there! Took a chance and I drafted him on my team >_>

He was ticked about not getting to kick Thursday and didn't make the smartest comments about it afterwards. The rookie looked pretty good.

Nismo89 08-26-2012 12:41 PM

Official word is ravens have indeed Cut the former Pro Bowl Kicker and have decided to go with the rookie kicker. Cundiff need not to wait long for a job as his phone has already been ringing off the hook

Baltimore Ravens cut ex-Pro Bowl K Billy Cundiff, source says - ESPN

b1adesofcha0s 08-26-2012 06:51 PM

Lol @ Cundiff getting cut. TO got cut as well. Tarvaris Jackson traded to the Bills and Vontae Davis going to Miami.

Nismo89 08-26-2012 07:59 PM

everyone knew Cundiff was gonna get it after he missed those the past few games from 40 yards and under while the other guy made every single one lol...

feel bad for T.O. but hey...... he built the bad rep he has so...

b1adesofcha0s 08-26-2012 08:07 PM

I knew he was gonna be gone as soon as he missed the one in the AFC championship. Everyone was like "it was just one bad kick, he'll be ok".....yeah didn't work out so well :icon17:

I'm sure he'll get picked up by some other team though.

 i found it funny how he kept saying to everyone his stats from previous years and he made the pro bowl " if i dont make it here, which id be shocked if i dont... im sure ill have a job elsewhere..... just look at stats. most touchbacks ever for a kicker, have 90 percent accuracy rating for my career" blah blah blah....

yea well............. you should have kept up the probowl form and make the kick WHEN it counts the MOST! have nice day Cundiff. Rant over.:ughdance:

b1adesofcha0s 08-26-2012 08:21 PM

I think that if the Ravens didn't end up with that rookie kicker who I've heard is doing really well, they probably would have kept Cundiff.

OOOOOOOOOOO im mad now. him and Lee evans! speaking of Lee Evans..... he was recently released from the jaguars sometime last week or so. apparently not impressive... well DUH!

I had some of those moments too with the Super Bowl :icon17:

Nismo89 08-26-2012 09:04 PM

 i have:ban: those names from my vocab!:gtfo2:

b1adesofcha0s 08-26-2012 09:13 PM

Patriots are having some serious O-line issues that have me worried more than their defense this season. Matt Light's retirement and some injuries to Logan Mankins and Sebastian Vollmer has caused a lot of shuffling around there. Luckily though, I think Mankins and Vollmer are back so we should see some more stability there soon.

Nismo89 08-26-2012 09:20 PM

i saw some highlights of brady getting smacked around , i think your next few moves should be to shore up the O-Line.... protecting one your biggest asset. the QB

The last game was Mankins' 1st game back and I think they just activated Vollmer off the PUP list. They've still got some time to get their sh1t together before the season starts and I sure as hell hope they do.

Looks like Russell Wilson was just named the starter for the Seahawks. That guy has been really impressive so far

Nismo89 08-27-2012 01:14 PM

Props to Manning for finally Showing himself again...... 1 half of play, had 120-130 yards and 2 TDs, and they come to Baltimore this year........ BRING EM ON!:stirthepot:

Like they said on NFL.com, the most anticipated game of this season comes in week 5......Brady vs Manning at Gillette Stadium.

Brady is leading the series 8-4 I believe. :stirthepot:

Nismo89 08-27-2012 01:28 PM

:icon18: :icon23: bring on the Broncos........ M&T bank will be rocking!

i'll be sure to watch ALL games........ i have NFL sunday Ticket i just paid for.

b1adesofcha0s 08-27-2012 01:35 PM

I will have to watch most of my Patriots' games through some site that streams them online :shakes head:

Nismo89 08-27-2012 01:42 PM

you have direct TV? i believe NFL sunday ticket is free this year for anyone whom signs up ( at least thats what i got from the commericals) and 200 bucks this year for current subcribers. i already paid the 200. or you can set it up to do a monthly payment deal...... id much rather pay it full and not have a bill lol

b1adesofcha0s 08-27-2012 01:45 PM

Nope I have FiOS from Verizon.

Nismo89 08-27-2012 03:00 PM

dang, i wouldnt be able to survive with out my football and the Velocity channel!lol

b1adesofcha0s 08-27-2012 03:09 PM

I can still watch football all day, but since the Patriots aren't the local team I can't see all of their games. Pretty much all the Ravens and Redskins games are shown on the various local channels. Prime time games aren't an issue either since they're nationally televised. Though watching it on live stream isn't as horrible as it sounds. Annoying yes, but at least you can still watch it.
