Congratulations. Feel free to share tips and tricks, I've had it for over a year and I'm sure I don't know half the features this camera has. Too damn lazy to read the manual.

one thing I haven't quiet understood is the difference between full frame and non-full frame SLRs...is the difference just as simple as not being able to use the full focal length of any lens?

That's awesome, though. I saw a coffee mug that was modeled after a Canon lens like that a few years ago. I need to find where to buy one of those...

Yeah, the 5.0 comment beats mine.

On the lens, there is a remove-able tripod mount. I usually use a monopod with it.
