The hair? The shadow? I'm not sure what you're talking about. I thought her crazy hair was one of her key features. If I went lower, wouldn't that end up being an "up the nostrils" shot?

What lens did you use? Shooting from a really low angle will make her look taller & slimmer, especially if your lens is more on the wider side. Just get her to tilt her head down a bit. You won't create a noticable "up the nostril" shot any more than that pic. It's still a good shot.

On my phone it looks like brown spots.
Just don't use a wide angle close to the nostrils. 85-135 portrait range :-) ThePhotographer
