That is my problem. I want a fish eye but I wouldn't use it enough to justify it. The only real reason I would want one is for rolling shots.

haha, you're like me, the last shot has a tilt to it. i always have a fair bit of difficulty making sure the shot i'm taking is close to horizontal.
what lens are you using btw? just curious |

![]() Lens used are either kit lens 18-55 or fixed 50mm that im messing around with. Not sure im sold on it.. seems kind of redundant unless its better for fast shooting. Ken, gimp ninja with wooden sword. Bring a gun or anything sharp really and i lose ![]()

Nitex- lol
![]() ![]() on that last wall pict, did you use a 55mm? nearly impossible to get a straight verticle line if you dont have enough space to back up, right? ive had issues where trees in my shot has a curvy cat's back. ![]() ![]() |

i've always wondered why you would get a prime lens. as far as i'm concerned, it's nice for the lower f-stops you can achieve, and it's a lot lighter than some of the zoom lenses.
i'm torn on what to get for another lens, both my kit lens and tele-lens crap out at f-stops of around 5.6 |

Prime's are extremely sharp, That is mainly why people love them. Add to that, as you said... You can have a lower aperture, which allows you to take pictures in lower light. Primes are also sealed, so you don't have to worry about dust getting in them.

Agreed
I love primes for the fact that they not only shoot great in low light, but they are tack sharp with a higher f stop. Not to mention the bokeh advantage of the F stop wide open. I have a Canon 50mm 1.8, Tamron 90mm 2.8 macro and Rokinon 8mm fisheye Otherwise I'm using my Tamron 17-50mm 2.8 which is just ridiculously sharp for the price point I'm thinking of getting a 30mm 1.4 Last edited by Nick911sc; 08-01-2011 at 11:56 AM. |
