the teaser pics on the chevy website of the rear end and hood have me actually excited for the reveal....but i'll be at zdayz and wont see until I get home on late the 17th. |
The Z28 is holding values very well, in fact you can see them for sale used with little miles on them. Its hardcore, and for a DD would be pretty tough to take...and the 80 wear rating tires are expensive and wear out quickly. I think as usual, some of the first buyers were posers and ones that have to get the latest and fastest, but simply can't live with a barely legal street race car. So they get dumped after less than a year. Its the same for the GT3 and the GT3RS, my Porsche sales guy even told me that. Its something they think they must have, cause they have the money to pay cash and drive away. That being said, the used GT3 and GT3 RS are still way to expensive for me. Even a 996 GT3 is 80K or so.....used 997 GT3 is above 100K too. I have a 997.1 C4S thats a blast, but I would consider a used Z28, why not? Used Z28 are still 65-70Km ish...if they drop to 50K ish....I'll consider one.

ZDayZ 2015 there was a FB post from one of the guys who runs the event and he said the Nissan reps said they are bringing a couple new production cars (non Z), a concept car (is a Z), and a few of their race cars. also chris Forsberg is coming with his drift cars, and Z1 also brings 3-5 of their race cars so it'll be interesting. sidenote chevy released the last 2 teaser images on the site. one is the grille and also an entire side profile. not gonna lie I've been researching the next audi TT RS. 460hp twin turbo, DCT, and AWD. new body actually isn't bad. I've always hated the TT too lol |
Quote:
but the numbers look really good on it. And they depreciate really quick so after a year u can snag em really easy. |

but the new TT body is growing on me. |

If Chevy comes out with a GTA Camaro like the old pontiac...
Would you buy the V8? Would you get the GTA Twin-Turbo? Or would you get the ZL-! version with a Z06 engine? For $20k more than the other two? |
Quote:
power would be the main thing along with what the suspension differences may be like how the SS, 1LE, ZL1, and Z28 all differ. but with the mag ride and all the other new upgrades it seems like there may not be such a big gap between the turning/driving abilities of each model like the current models. then styling. who knows the differences each will have or whatever. lots of questions need to be answered for me once it's debuted. |

How do you get into a dealer auction? Don't you need to accompany someone with a dealer license? |
Quote:
then again the V8 can gain too. I just like the idea of boost lol also youre talking a 3k difference. doesn't even matter at that point it comes down to which engine you want |

The latest teaser photo of the all-new 2016 Chevrolet Camaro reveals a new angular look for the coupe that targets the Ford Mustang and Dodge Challenger. General Motors also said the 2016 Camaro logged 350 hours of wind-tunnel testing aimed at improving the car's aerodynamics. "Drivers of the Camaro SS will experience a marked improvement in reduced aerodynamic lift," the automaker said in a statement on Monday. The Camaro will arrive at Chevrolet dealerships in late fall, following a debut on May 16 during a public event at Detroit's Belle Isle Park. Pricing has not been announced. The Camaro aerodynamics team aimed at improved performance, stability, cooling and lower wind noise, without sacrificing fuel economy. "To balance these different aerodynamic targets, we tested literally hundreds of changes on the new Camaro, millimeters at a time," said Kirk Bennion, Camaro exterior design manager, in a statement. The initial design called for the lower grille bars to be set at a 20-degree angle to the horizon. But after testing, the team improved engine-cooling airflow by 1 percent by shifting the angle to 13 degrees, a change that achieved the airflow target while maintaining the original grille design. Instead of a traditional airdam to cut aerodynamic lift, the team developed a flush belly pan that stretches from the front grille to the center of the vehicle. "Paired with small 'spats' forward of the front tires, the smooth underbody helps reduce total lift by 30 percent, while also reducing aerodynamic drag," GM said. |
