Some angles look good on these renders.... Some look hideous... I hope the real camaro looks good in all angles?

While I can't argue against the performance capabilities GM has fleshed out with the Camaro, their styling, to me, manages to only be relevant and fresh for one model year. It just doesn't age well at all, and becomes dry and boring to me very quickly.
This generation will be no exception. Based on those renderings, which are very close to the spy shots with camo that have been going around, we will have another that looks... dated... within one to two years of being on the market. Love or hate Nissan, they have a knack for timeless styles on their performance/halo cars. The first gen Z looks amazing nearly 50 years later, but even the 370Z NISMO from this year with its enhancements still turns heads and gets people asking questions - it's fresh enough looking to where I want one. The R34 GT-R is going on 20 years old and it looks better now than it did when it was new and manages to look better than many of the overstyled sports cars out today. That type of timelessness with the styling hasn't been done on a Camaro since the late 60s. Ford, however, has executed that type of styling with the new Mustang, IMHO. Fresh looking car - a true evolution. This Camaro looks like it was a variant of the last generation that got turned down. Maybe that will change when I see it in person. Performance wise - I love what they're doing. They're driving the competition and moving the needle. The past couple years with the pony car battle royale have been entertaining as hell. We've gotten GT500s, Hellcats, Z28s, ZL1s, GT350s, Super Snakes, and then on the outside of that we have gotten GT-Rs, Z06s, Vs, etc. It's definitely a great time to be a performance car fan. |

355hp base V6? Sounds amazing.... If the price it somewhere between the base stang and the ecoboost? This will put stress in mustangs base sales, But if the ecoboost is boosted to 360hp? Then Mustang may be more compeitive in the game... The haard part for stang this generation is the Alpha platform has benchmarked BMW so, it leaves Mustang, searchiing for magic tricks... Let's see how the wars play out? As a 355hp V6, on a sub 3500lb chassis. The v6 camaro may be looking at 5.0second 60mph times with quarters as fast as approx, 13.4 seconds? On a BMW grade chassis. WOW!!! :driving: |
As a new BMW owner, I'm not really sure why you're hyped about BMW-grade chassis. Ford benchmarked the new Mustang to BMW (all over the press) and in many ways succeeded. It's not very hard these days to out-do BMW. :icon17:

Magnetic ride suspension with Track, sport, touring, and ice mode on the new camaro. This car!!! How much is it going to cost? It's leagues more advanced than the stang or challenger. They claiming mid 30's and it's almost hard to believe.

i am interested to see what the Camaro 6th gen debut holds. if that TT V8 rumor thing has any truth to it and the body design. |
Not a fan of the 5th gen styling so I doubt I'm going to like this one. Give me a 4th Gen F-body any day of the week.

the 5th gen was leaps and bounds over the 4th gens looks. 1st and 2nd gens were good. 3rd was god awful. 4th was ehh not bad and 5th finally got my attention again. |

SNEAK Peek at some chevy parts and angles
I definitely see Vette inspiration in the hood creases... I'm just hoping that when they say "slightly" smaller on the Camaro? It's at least 3" shorter, 2.2" lower and 1.5" inch less wide. That would be the perfect proportions for the camaro.

I'd buy the Camaro just based on the level of hate I see on the Camaro. Though sales of the Camaro seem to outshine the mustang in the law of averages. Way more people online have something negative to say about the Camaro over the stang. To me, that's more inspiration to buy a Camaro and mod it for serious gunplay at the track/roadcourse. And just straight Shyt on N***** left and right!! :driving:
Love the Z for the same reason. So much h8 on the Z. |
