That is another reason I questioned the validity of the article and he just got a ticket for careless drive...I call BS on that. You get to go straight to jail for reckless endangerment!

a boosted Z with more HP than a Vette with same maybe even less weight.......could be pretty close. could always find someone with each and do a test. |

now a boosted z vs a c7 z06 would be a nice race to see
|
Quote:
stock for stock it's not even close. C7 will eat the Z lol 130 more HP and roughly the same weight. toss on the magnetic suspension too. |

a used one is doable, but a brand new one i would save up a little more and pull the trigger on a z06

If I ever decided to track a car, I can just boost the performance of the Z and have all sorts of fun then. The best part is I can spend all that dough on the performance mods instead of getting into a more expensive car. It's going to get trashed anyway. What would your plans be for a Corvette? |
Quote:
I think the Z has two things going for it. Hydraulic steering which provides loads of feedback that these newer cars don't have and... A smaller more tossable size. Newer always seems so much better until... Not saying corvette isn't amazing. But there are trade offs. The type of trade offs so.e may not be willing to sacrifice. You will definitely get a faster car with a vette. Go with a GS and you get 1.2g of lat accel grip. That said. The GS is on my test drive/buy list. |

2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Specs Release date and Price
I don't know why Chevy shows a car in March, they're not planning to sell till November. By the time they're ready to sell. 3 more companies put out rivals. The gap shouldn't be longer than 6 months but... 15/19mpg on a 640hp car is amazing! I'm guessing driving hard still gets you 300 miles on the tank. The suspension tuning on these cars is unreal for the price. I'm just amazed. What angers me though... Visibility is already limited. Why make the gauge pod so fvckin high.... like really. You made the most low slung muscle car in existence which is AWESOME!!! And made a gauge cluster that completely obstructs the outward visibility. Like I don't get that GM? SO... can you even push this car to the limit with confidence? That's my question. |
that is crazy.. i sat in the new camaro and had a hard time seeing.

CAMARO V6 MUFFLER DELETE
https://youtu.be/PiEebe_BY-I Probably, the best sounding v6 on the market right now with a SIMPLE muffler delete. Really sounds like an exotic. I honestly would feel completely respectable in this fine automobile in a v6. It's an amazing car. Next gen, when they completely sort out ergonomics and perfect the styling. The camaro will be the supreme car, period. I just hope Chevy figures out how to put feedback in the steering wheel. Chevy does have miniscule feedback. So let's see.... Chevy, I'm truly amazed. |

Chevy gives a manual 2.0T for a week this time... Subaru does test and says.... Camaro is the better handler than mustang, hands down! |
|
I see they're doubling down on the ugly interior
|

I finally have seen the new Camaro in person and I have to say I am very disappointed. The rear-end looks cool, but overall the word that comes to mind is "bloated". It didn't help that it was white.

It's leaner than the last gen.... White is it's weakest color vs last gen, it was it's stingray color. Grey blue orange and red wake this car up. Also not having a base car helps too. |

Gotta luv this review from a true mustang hater. And I think the blue color makes this car nicer.... much nicer. |
AWESOME GAS MILEAGE TEST!!!
https://youtu.be/BQZWmM18O00 Though the Camaro computer is off by a moderate margin. The car claimed a use of 3.9 gallons of gas over an approximate 104 miles getting 26.5mpg. The car really turned out 4.5 gallons at 23.3mpg. Considering there's 460hp underage hood. Anything over 18mpg is a miracle. A+ camaro. I get 15.9mpg in my Z. Lol 20mpg, driving like my great grandma. Lol |
If you plan on getting a ZL1? Don't forget to open a separate bank account for tires. Line lock feature = burnout mode.

2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 First Look Review - Motor Trend
St 640/640hp-tq and 3,850lbs which was the weight of the last few 1le... This thing should be able to haul serious azz. Add in that it will have its own programmable launch control and will have a line lock feature built in. This car is going to be hard to beat by anything out there in terms of value. With an estimated price of $60K to start. This car will be a serious contender. |
that should be posted in the 60k for the new Z thread lol
