I know i'm not a fan of first year production, but all the parts for the Camaro, more or less have come out of the bin from other cars.
So thoughts?

If you can resist the temptation, wait for the second model year. There are always kinks that need to be worked out with every first model year.

no comment............

fuckin steering lock lol

edit: although it also was an issue with the 2010 as well.

RicerX 05-27-2015 11:01 AM

I mean... it's a GM. So it will get recalled in the first couple months for something like jacked up steering racks, far-too-literal ignition switches, or excessive blinker fluid that makes headlights explode.

But to FPs point, at least they do something about it unlike Nissan who keep giving us the same **** year after year. God damn CSC. How long did it take them to ditch the steering lock? We still have a shitty *** fuel tank design as well. :icon18:

Oh well, the Active Sound for 2016 will make up for all of it! Yippee!!!

Agree. It's because Nissan is only focused on the GTR. They pretty much changed that car every model year.

Alpha chassis = proven
8 speed auto = just about there
LT1= Sickest chevy engine yet
My link 2 = if as good as my link?
MRC = No question its the best sub premium adjustable suspension.

Im confident first year. Im sure 2nd yr would be better. But on camaro forums, people with 10 camaros that got into 11 camaros fof all the improvement got great trade deals.

If the base comes like that I'm pretty sure it's because its for people that want to build it and don't want to waste money on any of the premium stuff.

That's my thought as well, 2nd or 3rd year. I'm most likely buying a new Chevy truck, in 16, it'll have been out for 3 years by then. :)

FPenvy 05-28-2015 09:53 AM

in case anyone cares I just saw that 2014 Z28 is getting a $4k price drop and 2015 Z28 is getting $2k off to move inventory for the new 2016's

Shiiiiiit i can negotiate 4k off in my sleep. Show me 8k and they sayin something.

UNKNOWN_370 05-29-2015 11:48 AM

Camaro creates 500 American jobs in Michigan. I think im going to buy at least one American built car. My altima was built here but i havent owned an American car since 2006 and i only owned it 11 months. I hated it. Lol. Was used to Japanese precision.

This just changes the starting point for negotiations.

For us in Canada the SS 1 package is 5,400 off right now, with 0% for 84 months...it's damn tempting.

m4a1mustang 05-30-2015 09:17 AM

0% for 84 months... damn.

b15 05-30-2015 10:50 AM

At least it's 0%. But damn, 84 months? Pretty soon we'll see 10 year financing options.

I've seen a few 96 month options out there, but these are typically reserved for higher end cars.

All-New 2017 Camaro ZL1 Bad Boy Gets Rendered

FPenvy 06-01-2015 07:32 AM

i found a 2015 Z28 over the weekend with 2k miles for 64k :stirthepot:

UNKNOWN_370 06-01-2015 09:05 AM

Why i get the feeling the next ZL-1 is getting the current engine of the Z06 and in 2017, the Z 06 is gonna go up in HP? 700hp anyone?:happydance:

i'm ok with that

UNKNOWN_370 06-01-2015 09:16 AM

Im really feeling the ZL1 hood. I hope they find some ways to lose weight so it remains within a few pounds of the SS. Im hoping to see no more than a 50lb gain on the ZL-1. If they can keep the ZL1 at SS weight? That would be ideal.

Maybe I just wanted to give you an option that would help you guys walk off your alpha platform broners you have had going on for like six months straight now. That's gotta get uncomfortable after a while. :p
