Where Nissan gets me is where they try to push people-movers with stickers off as sports cars. Frustrates me.

I don't mind them trying to push their people movers as sporty but I hate them for using a CVT on everything. I had no issues with my '08 Altima 3.5SE but hated how the cvt drove. That's my one and only CVT vehicle. I've also driven all the late models (rentals) and still don't like CVT. I love Nissan but will not buy another (excl Infiniti) if it's got a CVT.

You are just going through withdrawals because you sold your sports car. Happens to everyone. A Maxima will never be a sports car.

We drove every cross over under 45K and my wife fell for the Rogue. To be honest it's not as sporty or fun as the Audi was, but when she drives she's getting close to 36 MPG. That still blows my mind for a cross over.

If you make the Z a tad more practical, you can attract some of the same segment that shops the pony cars - those that want the thrill of a fun drive that has some space to accommodate life.

The Z32 route is ideal. The Camaro advantage will be in standard features for the money

Latest look at 2017 ZL1 prototype, with better look at special hood – Camaro6 – 6th generation 2016 Camaro forums, news, reviews, and more.

They're already working on the SUPED UP series. Gotta love murica for not sleeping on performance.

that hood is a giant shaker hood. looks pretty good even though it's camo'd up lol

if it's that rumored TT V8 they supposedly sent out to be dyno tested and dropped 800HP on 9lbs of boost i'll take one now please. thank you.

:tiphat:

so I see a 6/4 piston caliper set-up
many coolers behind the grill I would assume tranny, maybe dff, oil, and possibly intercooler for the boosted set-up
hood is sexy, the baby wing is sexy, overall I dig it.

also if no one else caught it theres a sticker set on the right rear quarter that blends in that say "PWR 646" I assume this has the Z06 engine in it and will be the ZL1

EDIT: looked close it says PWR < 6.46 that could be power to weight? im now confusing myself lol

That Camaro suspension is taut like a mutha... Wow...
You basically don't need an aftermarket suspension. Lowering springs n alignment.

I don't see whatnot wouldn't be? The vette seems to have stayed true to its pre-production suspension.

12 Cool New Interior Features from the 2016 Camaro

Camaro is well featured and really seems to be a budget Vette!!! Good Job GM. I wish styling was reminiscent of the second gen though. The 70-73 is my personal favorite!!! But is still an improvement.

FPenvy 11-13-2015 08:01 AM

fyi the full build and price options are live on chevy.com now. not just that color picker thing they had before.

When I click the link, my desktop browser is adding /?app=desktop#/ to the URL, making it not work.

I just embedded the video in my post, so no one would have to bother with that ;)

FPenvy 11-13-2015 10:22 AM

tried to do a build on the site out of curiousity but it's messed up. half the parts say se dealer for price and some of the 2SS package parts that were/are listed as included are coming up as pieces that are optional.

regardless the base prices are up of each model and sadly though by the time the options needed for this are on you should just get a vette lol

2SS Camaro - $42K
1500 for 8l90 tranny
1700 for mag ride control
900 dual mode exhaust
see dealer* for nice SS black SS wheels which I thought were included
500 for the nav upgrade to the touch screen which again I thought was supposed to come included with 2SS

oh well I mean it's not bad considering a 42 base plus I would add mag ride and maybe even 6 piston front caliper option as well. obviously 8 speed auto :yum: probably out the door sticker of 50k. auction pull after 3-6 months probably pay base price for one with all options.

I dig it. its a nice offering from chevy.

UNKNOWN_370 11-13-2015 11:33 PM

I have to agree... It's very competitive. I think the driving dynamics of the v6 is going to make a compelling v6 performance option. Fully loaded I'm sure the v8 will be $55k.
So the M2 may be comp for the Camaro? The C450amg sport may be another competitor? Either way. None of those cars will match in raw power. I can't wait to see the head to head against the mustang.

look at any C7 with same mods. it's the same engine.

my friend bought a C7 drove it right to the shop to drop a SC/headers on it and tune it was at 600+

cams and heads are his next mods and waiting for better fuel systems to come out to go for 800+

so far from vette guys that the main complaint is the direct injection on the new engine is limiting their power options currently. now I don't know much about vette/Camaro parts so that may have been handled already.

yea and cheap. headers 1200, sc kit he got was like 4k, then cat back isn't bad plus I saw they make like an aventador style exhaust rather than the quad tip with a CF diffuser that looks nasty.

The Camaro v6 is comparable now to a Z in power/performance with backseats. There exhaust sounds leagues better than ours and the interior is ultra-modern with features found in luxury cars n have in house aftermarket. These are drivers cars. The Camaro has done things with bargain muscle that's unprecedented.

Let's give props where props is due.
