Why is Ford doing more than Nissan?

Nissan hasn't sold Z's since 2011.

We sold:

13,500 in 09

10,300 in 10

5700 in 11

5500 in 12

Im not sure if the 13 will brake the 5000 mark. lol



But most enthusiast cars are selling low. And honestly Camaro's and mustangs are NOT enthusiast cars. They are highly marketed, advertised and imprinted in the minds of americans to believe they are the epitome of the sports experience. When you're a kid. You don't know what an Rx7 is till you're 11 or 12. But you know what a mustang and camaro is when you're 3 or 4 years old.

We grow up. If we don't know dyck about cars. But want something affordable and sporty. We will know 2 names. Camaro and mustang. Tjhats why they sell. Performance means something to 20,000 out of 200,000 buyers. Why you think most stangs on the road are v6. anfd 75% of Gt's and SS's sell because of the monitary value behind them. Not performance or technology.
Many of us here are a 1%'ers brother. We love sports cars to the point of obsession. Others are here to either be a part of something and they thought owning a car would help that? Or they are haters...

The Z doesn't advertise because Nissan expects us to know. They just hope the cars styling will speak for themselves in getting extra custy's. It worked with the Z33 cuz the economy was great and car loans were easy to get. Now the economy sucks and loans are hard to get.

You're broke but a 23k stang is easier to buy than a $34k Z. And knowing how shallow many are. Most americans want to buy the SS and GT because 4 neighbors have the v6 models. They wish they could afford the GT and here you go bursting their bubble with being the v8 guy on the block who can dust all the V6 posers. Lets keep it real. Only a handful of guys buy stangs for performance. And when they do. They're looking at two models. The Boss302 and the shelby GT500 baby paw. After those two, your buying a powerful commuter with kewl gadgets and BS.
