Great job on the design by the way! The rear end looks killer!
Thank you. I used Adobe Photoshop and mostly the airbrush tools. The overall forms I sketched out on a piece of paper first, scanned, then traced the lines using Autocad( just 2d splines). You can also do use illustrator or photoshop, but Autocad is easier & faster for me. I use to do this stuff using prismaticolors too, but having an unlimited pallet in Photoshop makes it so much easier once you get the hang of it. I also draw with an Intuos digital tablet.
Nismo89 and Z370Z011 like this.

It's pretty easy once you know the basics. Photoshop is actually one of the easiest programs to learn. It just intimidates a lot of people. I managed to teach my 12 year old sister how to use it. It just takes practice. You should try it if you've ever wanted to do any sort of illustration. Adobe has a 30 day trial of the full program you can try out. If you decide to buy, be warned that Photoshop is kind of pricey. Elements would probably be your best bet for now. It gets you about 80% of Photoshop's features at a quarter of the cost. The rest is advanced features and tools you normally wouldn't use anyways. AutoCad is a bit more technical, but not really neccesary for this kind of stuff. I use it all the time for work, so its just faster for me to draw with.
