Looks more like a Z's platform than a mustangs! Looks like a cheap Aston Martin actually
Edit: just read through all the posts, I guess that's just the general consensus!

I'd be careful with this if I was Ford...at stake is a huge customer base of Mustang fans that they can't afford to lose. Anything too drastic and they could be in big trouble. Not much of anything about that concept screams Mustang and/or musclecar. But...having said that, the very first blue pic in this thread seems like it could grow on me.

I saw that average age of 51 story too, but somehow I find that hard to believe. I'm certain I see way more 20-30 somethings driving them than people over 50, although when I do see the older folks, they are usually the ones in the convertibles.

I cant hate on ford for an aston martin style front end as I love me some Aston but damnnnnnn 2 new cars now? First the new fusion now the next gen mustang?
At some point people are going to think Aston copied Fords styling

The last two generations of the Ford Mustang have gotten retro design, hearkening to traditional Mustangs from the 1960s. However, Ford has publicized that the next generation Mustang will drop the retro appointments. Ford Mustang will not have retro styling in next generation. It likely won’t be getting the butterfly doors, but the new Mustang is said to be getting a diverse selection of engines, much like the current one. Very few cars on the motorways can raise notice for being in contiguous production for 50 years; that’s a feat, no matter how it’s sliced. What we do know presently, is that Ford has buzzed the 2015 Mustang is going to be a “world car”–perhaps set at capitalizing further upon a more global scene or maybe taking design and styling cues from world-class automobiles from today?
