Nissan 370Z Forum

Hyundai Genesis 3.8 is CONFIRMED faster than 370z

If you plug the hp and curb weight numbers into an online 0-60 calculator like 0-60 mph Calculator for Cars , they come up within .05 sec of each other.

I wouldn't use calculator for times since it doesn't take into acount aerodynamics/tire width, weight distribution, etc

areodynamics won't matter much in a 0-60 (bigger effect ton 1/4 mile and beyond). The calculator is a theorectical "what the car can do in perfect conditions" rather than end-all. I assume the companies will use the best tires/gearing that are reasonably priced or they would be cutting their nose off to spte their face. This particular calculator always comes in a bit fast compared to real world times but relativily, it's always close to real world. There are more detailed ones that consider elevation, torque, etc but you have to get a lot of extra data and the results don't vary much at all. It much much harder to evaluate track speeds where tires/weight distribution, etc. have an even bigger effect.
