RTR comes with quite a few performance improvements. ford racing calibration, high-flow filter, falken FK-452 tires, ford racing mufflers, and ford racing dampers and springs. not to mention the bad *** aero kit designed by vaughn gittin jr.(i think). congratz man. have fun with your new ride =D

5.0 mustang 0-60 4.8 / 13.0 auto 4.4 / 12.7 stick so they say. Mine auto stock was 5.1 / 13.5. Not hard launches. Just changing to cheater slicks makes a huge difference. Whats trick about this 5.0 engine is that it responds well to base mods. Cai and tune and exhaust. The stock time is 87oct. You gain 10hp just from using 93octane. Stick the base mods 4.2 / 12.3 or so. I'm sticking some wider rear wheels on sometime in the near future.

I get my numbers from my gtech pro ss and adyno and dynolicious. Pretty close to the strip times last time i went. There are some inconsistencies when your rushing to set them up before the run. But you get it right and you dont move they are pretty close. Off by hundreths and a mph or 2.

FWIW it's not as much the rubber as it is the suspension. There are people cutting 1.8 60's all day with the 255 width PZeros, which is great for a street tire.

That's what I would do. A brushless wash might be OK, but I definitely wouldn't go into a brush wash.

Touchless washes are totally fine.
Brushed washes are rough on the top, just as they are on the paint. There's no reason to subject your paint to that....and the top will survive brushed washes if you put it through in a moment of weakness. <----had his verts run through car washes by well meaning friends |
