I just want them to add the Boss. They said they are going to add 10 cars a month to Forza 4 so I bet it will come at some point.

BTW, are you all set up with iRacing yet?

What is this iRacing?

It's an actual simulation, not a arcade game like GT5 and Forza. PC-based, subscription service, you pay for all of the content, requires a dedicated wheel/pedal setup. It's not really for fun as much as it is for training.

I own all of the content and have been involved since the beta testing days, so I have about $2k into it so far. :icon17:

That looks pretty cool

Yeah it's srs business. There's a whole licensing class based off of a safety rating, you can get into some srs sh1t if you aren't a clean racer, or if you just suck.

GT5/Forza really helps with leveling the playing field since it has so many inherent driving aids really shitty people can be somewhat competitive. Not so in iRacing... they just crash and get in the way.

I drive all assists off in GT5. Unclean racers drive me nuts. I always go out of my way to keep it clean or let a faster racer by. Though not many are faster than me when it comes to GT5 ;) I like the amount of tracks in that iracing sim. Dont look like many exciting cars though. Im gonna check it out I think.

It's all real race cars and tracks. You should read about how they recreate the cars and laser scan the tracks to within millimeters of accuracy. Every little surface detail is there on all of the tracks... it's awesome.

If you give it a try I recommend you work on both your road and oval licenses. It's gobs of fun.

iRacing will probably be good for you given where your head is at. As long as you focus on 1) staying on track and 2) staying off other cars you will do well.

Red__Zed 10-19-2011 11:30 AM

Dan here you go. Finally found a GT500 axleback on a 5.0 with resonators deleted. Best sound imo. I need to know how to do this. Just take care with GT500's installed, to an exhaust shop? Where are resonators located?

Red__Zed 10-19-2011 09:47 PM

i like the idle. it sounds bad at throttle, but I guess it is because of a crappy camera

The resonators are just ahead of the rear axle.

omg yes... Kona

And I drove 18 hours to St. Louis for mine. :rofl2:

Lemers 10-19-2011 09:56 PM

That is the best deal I can find. I don't think there is much room to haggle over price. It comes with STV package and Nav.

run it by a carmax as well.

Lemers 10-19-2011 10:00 PM

No carmax here.

Red__Zed 10-19-2011 10:04 PM

is there one on your drive?:icon17:

Lemers 10-20-2011 07:43 AM

One rout I might take is see if a dealer here will honor that price and transfer the car here. I can do the trade in with them.

m4a1mustang 10-20-2011 07:44 AM

That might work, dealers transfer cars all the time. Still might be worth making the trip out to that dealer though. I'd try to work a deal over e-mail, thats how I got mine from Fusz. Agreed upon a trade value and the price of the 5.0 over e-mail then I drove out there to make the exchange.

There is ALWAYS room to haggle. Trust me. ALWAYS. Just depends on a lot of things... dealer, how long they had the car, how motivated they are to move it, how much they will give you for your car, etc etc... You just have to work it... Like a bad dent on car that you are doing PDR on. Just keep working it till it pops out. LOL

So the resonator is part of the GT500 axlebacks? or the OEM pipes ahead of it?

I would too :) if I had the $ for it.

I noticed you and Steve are gung ho over Kona :) Why didn't you guys get Kona in first place?

^ I agree Steve. That's how I've bought my past 3 cars. I call em up, serious buyer, tell them what I am looking for, I want to pay invoice or less, here's my trade, will send you pics, assume showroom condition for my car, I want this much trade value for my car, I drive there, and if my car is not in condition I state it is, deals off. Simple. No playing around. Dealers respect that.
