Dan, I heard the Roush AB's in person again today. They are definitely not too loud. Sounds really good IMO.

I need to find someone with them so I can hear them :(

Lemers 10-09-2011 08:24 PM

What's up with the Boss colors for 2013? I got excited when I heard green then it was a fricken ugly green.

m4a1mustang 10-09-2011 08:27 PM

It will look pretty sweet in person. Grabber Green.

Lemers 10-09-2011 08:29 PM

I haven't like any of the grabber colors yet

m4a1mustang 10-09-2011 08:32 PM

I'm a big fan of Grabber Blue. It's killer, especially at night. :D

Lemers 10-09-2011 08:32 PM

It looks like a mint green on the old '70's mustangs. If it were a Forrest green like the old bullet there would be no stopping me this time.

Red__Zed 10-09-2011 08:32 PM

yeah that new green looks pretty meh...

Lemers 10-09-2011 08:35 PM

If I where to get a mustang today it would be the dark blue with silver stripes.

Red__Zed 10-09-2011 08:38 PM

I feel so divided on stripes on the mustang

Lemers 10-09-2011 08:45 PM

I think Shelbys without them look naked and GTs it all matters on the color combo.

m4a1mustang 10-09-2011 08:49 PM

If I could do it all over again I'd get red.

Red__Zed 10-09-2011 08:52 PM

the mustang red is very nice

Red__Zed 10-09-2011 08:52 PM

i wonder how red stripes would look on black

m4a1mustang 10-09-2011 08:55 PM

Red stripes look pretty sick on black.

Lemers 10-09-2011 08:58 PM

Red stripes on black is the Shelby that someone in my unit is trying to sell. Trust me I thought about buying it but I keep remembering back to when I didn't know he was selling it, I didn't like it. If I'm dropping that kind of cash it's the one I want not the one on the lot.

I feel like if you do stripes you need to do a rocker stripe as well. It just helps tie the look together, IMO. I also like how the new GT500s use the pinstriping.

Lemers 10-09-2011 09:01 PM

Here is His add on craigslist.

Lemers 10-09-2011 09:08 PM

So $48000 for that with 8000 miles and nav and stv package. Is that a good deal?

Man I hate that rear quarter window, and the roof line. Other than that it dont look TOO bad. I def like them from the front and back, kinda. Bigger hips might do it justice although I know its not true to its heritage. The black w red stripe combo is nice, def the best color/stripe scheme you could have IMO. I kinda like the white w blue stripe as well.

the look exudes pure muscle. Not to be confused with the lithe look of the z. The stang profile is loud and brawny. I love it like I loved the z look...just in a different way.

BTW, black or Kona blue with dark gray stripes look killer too.

On topic of stripes, Steve or Dan, was there a way to get stripes other than white or black on my gt? That was the only option available online.

Lemers 10-09-2011 11:21 PM

Ford sells a lot of stripes they might install some other than black or white or go to any shop that deals in graphics and I'm sure they can do what ever stripes you want.

Red__Zed 10-10-2011 04:59 AM

Dealer or a tint shop will install whatever you like.

FromG2Z 10-10-2011 08:38 AM

^ ah I see... I thought you guys were talking OEM install only. Yeah after I get my perf mods, then maybe aesthetics.

Lemers 10-10-2011 08:57 AM

The factory has a few options but stripes are just big stickers that almost any shop can do.

FromG2Z 10-10-2011 10:25 AM

Lemers, you see my post about the GT500's? Get one already :stirthepot:

Lemers 10-10-2011 10:52 AM

If I get a new GT500 I may wait until 2013's for the new gauges and added horse power. Unless they bump up the cost.

Even then, if you wait around, they may still have 2012's on the lot when 2013's hit showrooms. So you can compare side by side if you do it at the right time.:icon17:

of course added cost. You don't think they'd give added features (power, among other things) for free would you?

you like the Roush axle backs, Steve? Seemed to be a little too "open" for me. It seems to not have the low throaty growl that the GT500 or the Borlas do. I mean the Roush's are loud, don't get me wrong, but a tinny loud?

m4a1mustang 10-10-2011 01:42 PM

Having heard them in person I think they sound pretty good. With an H pipe they have a pretty ballsy idle.
