But if you buy the Pod yourself ($85) you can add three separate guages for $55-85 each. It would be a PITA drilling the dash, though. It'd be a lot easier to go with an A-pillar setup. Roush also offers a pretty nifty air vent pod, which would fit right in the driver's side vent. http://www.americanmuscle.com/roush-...epod-2010.html |
Yeah, I get that. Im also never wiring gauges like that again. Too much work.

Where does the wiring go on the Roush pod?

these bad boys feel great man....with the 7500 rev limit there are easily doable...cant imagine the 4.10 guys...i think these are the Ideal gears for this car IMHO |
question for yall, the plastic screen on the stock stereo seems to scratch really easy, I can barely see my damn clock or radio station, anyone have suggestions for repairing it? if there is even a way...

i used scratch doctor and a terry cloth and it helped out allot...back to plastic is good too |
I clean mine with a soft MF towel. If there is dust on the surface lightly dust it off, then clean with whatever product you use. Light pressure, too. I do that for all clear plastic surfaces.

Side poll:
Lemers will be the next one to come to the dark side. I predict him in a Ford 5.0 or GT500 in 3 weeks. Takers? |

That's what I said, a small steady paycheck.

Dan, I heard the Roush AB's in person again today. They are definitely not too loud. Sounds really good IMO.

I hate y'all for this hole mustang thing. And I know I can't get a "normal" 5.0. I'd need a boss, Shelby, saleen, or rousch. The boss is almost certainly out because I want leather and synch.

^ I understand about the holding out thing, but like I said before, cars and tech will always continue to get better. As soon as you buy it, there will be something better out there. Always. Just get what you want and what you can afford and be happy with it :)
|
Yeah, I understand holding out for a Mustang GT if only the 4.6 liters were available and you KNEW the 5.0s were coming in the next 6-12 months... but if you want a GT500 now, get it. They are still great cars and handle really well. If the next model is that much better and you really want it, then you can always trade up.
|
^ I agree. And it's not like whatever car we get next will be our LAST car. I mean come on, we're all car guys ;) I will be getting new cars till the day I die. We ALL know we will never be satisfied with "one" car.... lol.
So what I did today... (kindda like a what did you do with your 5.0 thread), I ran some errands in my 11 year old 93k mile Civic (since I have no sports car right now). After the errands, I drove by a local Ford dealer. They had a black 2012 Shelby GT500 coupe... after I walked around and drooled at that, I saw a 2010 Race Red GT, used., for sale too, with a CS package and pedestal spoiler. My Kona will look like the red one, but will have the GT500 mufflers, which I like much better than the stock, plus the decklid spoiler. The stock mufflers look too small. The red one also had the stock front fascia, which doesn't look that bad compared to the GT/CS fascia. But anyways, I just eyed both cars, and it's making me really really really antsy. I am loving the 5.0 look even more. It's sexy in muscle car way... definitely not in a Z shape way. It's as if it knows it doesn't have the small tight curves like the Z does, but it's proud to be itself in a loud in your face way... again, Angelina Jolie like :) I love it. Hurry up December..... this sucks. |
Well I can't trade my Z up and then trade my Shelby up. I've got to play this right and keep what ever I get. I gonna keep my ear to the ground on rumors. Just HP upgrade is nice but the new gauges are really cool.
|
BTW, Lemers, speaking of getting a GT500 now, did you know that I ALMOST got a 2010 Used GT500 vert instead of my new 5.0? A dealer locally had a freshly traded Grabber Blue GT500 vert, with 12k miles. It was stickered at 46k. I was trying to finalize the deal for a new 5.0, when the manager comes up to me and says, "What do you think of this Shelby?"
I said, "I like it, but 46k is not within my budget". He goes, "Well tell you what, we'll let this go for $40k, plus your trade in on the Z.". I ALMOST went that route.... but didn't do it because of the value they were going to give me for my Z (which is why I didn't buy from them period), plus the grabber blue with red stripes was hideous, IMO. So I didn't compromise. Point of story is, you can get a USED GT500 for pretty affordable. They offered that to me at $40k with NO negotiation even. I probably could have gotten it for cheaper even. What scares me is if they were offering me $40k for that car, imagine how much they raped the owner who traded it in. Talk about devaluing... |
