We'll see where I'm at next year. My current plan is to pick up a 370Z Roadster next year to go alongside my Mustang, but that could all change.

The Boss is going to be an absolute world-beater, there's no doubt about that.

so I test drove a 5.0 yesterday, and other than the TQ(AWESOME!), i was not impressed or blown away as other have been gasing it up to be. I will say this is the first respectable pony car since the ol school era. but it did not feel so much OMGness faster than my Z, infact at highway speeds it felt the same, and it def felt slower than my C6. I still say that motor trend glorious stock run of 12.7 was inflated bologna, especially after driving it.

There have been a few owners running those times with 3.73s stock.

Most guys with CAI + Tune and exhaust are running low 12s.

Pulls harder than the Z on the highway for sure, but like you said, it's not a crazy difference. The big differences are in the first few gears. The Z is pretty fast when it's already moving.

I would still expect my Mustang to pull on my Z pretty good from a highway roll, though. Nothing crazy like it would from a stop, but I think you'd have to be at like a 100+ roll for the Z and it's lighter weight and better drag numbers to even the fight out.

But, FWIW, I try not to compare the two cars. They are vastly different and I love them both for what they are.

the one you drove probably had the stock 3.31 gears, the 3.55s/3.73's would add quite a bit to the low end grunt, and yeah, guys are posting mid to high 12's in stock trim with the 3.73 gears, which if installed by yourself, can be had for less than $200
