My apologies if someone already posted this - but if it the Supra is beating out the M2 Competition along with the Cayman while being cheaper and assuming more reliable (Toyota quality), it will definitely put the Supra on the top of the list for me.

Crazy that they have wasted all they hype of the launch by not following it up with product. That cannot be planned. So are there quality problems, production issues, or what?
I went in search of one again yesterday. Nothing but blank stares from the dealership when I tried to get a drop date. It seems that by the time someone actually spots this unicorn, the next big thing will take some of the wind out of Supra’s sails. |

So, in the end, they sell a lot fewer cars. Toyota doesn't need to flood the market, but they had numbers to make a business case for the car. They should have timed the release to coincide closer to actually having units to sell. Somebody needs to throw himself on his sword, if this was the plan. The other options are that issues have come up in pre-production cars (cooling, for instance), or there are production problems. |
If anybody is thinking about getting the new Supra, I would just wait for the new RX7 but I heard that it is going to cost more than $50k..

These dyno numbers are sick. Downpipes intake exhaust BOV and a stage 1 conservative tune will probably throw it in the GTR world. |

Those numbers are impressive... but it's just so bloody ugly! |

i think it looks cool ... I liked how it looked in the pictures and liked it even more after seeing it in person a few weeks back.
I'm probably going to look into getting one a year or two down the road. The mark up should be dead by then. |

When I parked my Z next to one, my Z looked like a cute girl, you can tell she does squats but she looks a tiny bit overweight but it's in the right places. The GTR looked like a muscular woman that will break your face and put you into a full nelson. But, I always liked a sturdy looking woman that can defend herself lol |
I like it, but remain disappointed by how German it is.
|
I really like the aftermarket support they built into this car and the performance numbers it's putting up. Not 100% sold on the looks but with some wheels and a drop it's looking pretty good. Nissan needs to tease us with something about the next Z already

WHY DON'T one of yinz just buy one and get it over with. Nothing like reading rehash...rehash.
|
I’d have test driven one by now, except it’s nowhere to be found where I live yet.
Presumably, dealership will only get one to start with, as a showroom model that won’t get any test drives, or more likely sell ASAP at “market adjusted” (read: “sucker”) price. They don’t get many Toyota’s they can do that with! Anyone see one available yet? |

The car is supposedly available for sale in the states starting 7/22 for the launch edition and late august for the other trims so we still have a few months. |
I'd personally wait a year or two. It's a good sign that Toyota supposedly reviewed every component, but as with any new car, you never know.
Also if you plan on modding, good to know what will work and what won't — and if you'd really think it's worth voiding warranty. I'm not sure how long it took for the ZSpeed HD CSC option to come into existence, but it surely wasn't overnight. |
The Supra does NOT have a lower COG than the 86. Go figure... they been saying it would from jump street.

Interesting.
They show CGZ dimensions of: Supra (in form tested) = 19.5" off the ground. Toyota 86 = 18". For reference, they also say Mustang Shelby GT350 = 19.5" And from other sources: Lotus Elise = 18.8" Alfa Romeo 4C = 16" Wish they'd publish a list of all sports cars they've tested! |

Late to the convo... but I saw it in person 2 weeks ago at ToyotaFest here in SoCal
Looks really good in person and is smaller than I thought it would be. Biggest problem for me is I just don't trust BMW's reliability with the drivetrain. I also randomly saw one with full camo as a test car on Monday so I am not sure what they were testing or if BMW plans on launching a coupe version of their own. http://www.the370z.com/attachments/o...2020-supra.jpg http://www.the370z.com/attachments/o...-mkv-supra.jpg |
That looks gooooood.....wow.

From the back it looks like it is giving birth to another car. Nope! |

I want to like this model... But I just can't trick my eyes into liking ugly (like I could in college). |
Good looking car, but definitely not one I'd buy in white. Darker colors better on t his one, I think.

This past gen of bimmers have shown better reliability than past. I'm sure toyotas influence will make it a lil better. White isn't the most flattering color. But I'm sure black or grey will bring the car out better. |
