Of course it's going to feel like a boat coming from a Z!

It also depends on whether you have driven a track-pack 2010 or not. Those are actually very nice. Not as stiff as the Z for obvious reasons but much stiffer and tighter than standard.

I added more too

But in all honesty. I would rather rock a Camaro than the new Stang. To each his own though. I really am NOT a fan of the styling Ford went with. I think the Camaro looks so much more aggressive. Also, dealing with people in person who are on Fords nuts 24/7 like its the greatest thing on earth will put hate in your heart also.

Trust me, I know. I hate brand-whores like nothing else.

Really, I am just out to defend the truth like most everyone else in this thread that can recognize a good car when they see it.

If you had to deal with what I did, you would hate the Mustang too. These kids make it out to be better than a ******* supercar

In the end, people fail to realize that American is built for a different purpose than Japanese. The Mustang is known as a drag car, thats all. I just find it funny that a lot of people try to brag about that over a Jap car when a Jap car is built for something different. Yes, the Mustang will win in a line (if modded since the v8 is downgraded from factory and responds better to mods) and the Z will win in the corners. But man some kids I deal with think their Stang will outhandle the Z....they are just INSANE.... Hopefully one day that argument will be agreed upon and people will STFU.

I do find it funny however, that the 370z can currently beat the Mustang out of a V6 (pre 5.0). Japanese engineering > American.

Dude, I know exactly what you went through. It happens with owners of any car. There are people here who believe the Z was heaven sent just so JC would have some wheels when he came back. Seriously.

This is a common misconception. The Mustang was never intended as a drag car. It just so happened that drag racing is a very popular facet of American car culture. In reality, the car was designed as a sporty coupe and could really do anything the owner wanted to do with it.

Sorry, but this hp per liter/cylinder stuff is also something that's old and tired. It's common knowledge that no manufacturer tunes their engines to maximum power -- this is especially true for the American V8s. They are tuned very conservatively to balance power and fuel efficiency. They are also very conservatively geared.

I don't like how they angled the corners in on the new ones. It's just weird.

One of the reasons for the great success of the Mustang is this right here.

It was never quite as edgy as the Camaro/Firebird... especially in the 90s and early 2000s. But it appealed to more people than the F-bodies so that's why they died in '03 and the Mustang kept going.

Now that the Camaro is back we will see how it all shakes out.

To be honest with ya....I would take a 00 style TA/Camaro SS over the 06 style Stang.

I almost bought a black 2002 Trans-Am WS6 a few years ago. They look so tacky and badass at the same time.

00 WS6 here I was close to...gotta LOVE that Ram Air hood

I think their front end looks NASTY but their rear end could use some work. Kinda looks like a Grand Prix LOL. T-tops ftw tho!

When I had my Mustang my *** used to tighten up when I saw a T/A in my rear view. Had it happen in the Z, too. Cammed T/A pulled up on my *** and it felt just like the old days.

The Z didn't stand a chance!

lol my roomate tried to brag to me saying that the new mustang gt hit the skidpad better than a 350z. I told him its nothing to brag about if its true that I hope a 2011 car could do better than a 03

Took them long enough.
