WTF is Nissan doing?? Why have they dropped the ball on redesigning a new Z? They are going to start to lose loyal customers to other car companies if they don't start coming up with some new innovations.

Exactly that.... Nissan is dropping balls everywhere. They just got beat at there own game. This car is a Q60 competitor!!! Possibly for less money.... And a potential coupe that weighs FRS light with 375hp? Sounds like a Cayman killer to me!!!

Your exactly right about the cayman killer, hell I think with the right driver and setup it might give a 911 a bit of a run. I just don't know what to think anymore Nissan is letting a timeless car slip through there fingers. I bet Mr. K is rolling over in his grave right about now.

besides innovation to lighten the chassis, not sure if technology is the key for us car folks. if they innovate dey give us dat pos DAS system and electronic clutch gearbox which is faking boring to drive as hell.

dey need to keep the car basic as possible but refined.. otherwise u just loose dat fun factor in cars.

subaru did the current STI right. using old technology but refined. thing is so fun to drive it is crazy to see it's a family sedan. fast responding and precise throttle, very nice short throw with close ratio gear box dat don't force u out of da gate while cold, hydraulic pump steering, ability to tune ur center diff for different driving bias/dynamics, good brakes. sounds perfect too imo, right out of da box. everything dat makes a car fun to drive. plus nice suede like alcantara seats and all. thing is downright awesome for only $40K+. it could use another 50hp, but with sub-5 sec to 60, its plenty for me.

370Z is kinda tricky to drive cause so much slop. Nissan just needs to refine dat, lighten da car, and give the next Z dat 400hp tt engine, give it a little retro look at $40K and walla..

+1 on the STi analysis. Name a car with those attributes that is as fun to drive or better.....wait.....wait....there is not a single car because they have lost everything listed that works that is found in the STi. Maybe a 4C because its sans power steering and all, but lacks the utility of the STi. The car world, much like electric steering, is numb....cars are numb and sooner rather than later, we can all sit back and become more numb, as the things drive us around and we stare at electronics we are obsessed with....sad.
