Yeah, that's what I was referring to... I saw your other post where you said there had been a bunch around here so I wasn't sure if anything "official" had been set up. Seems like there are still a good amount in the area although I'm not sure if they're on the forum or not. I do my best to wave at any I see in the hopes they'll pop up in the "spotted" thread or this one, haha.

You might have better luck on the fb groups. This forum is kinda dead these days to be honest.

I think most new people to the forum just lurk and read old threads for info so they don't get scolded for not using search... at least that's what I do.

But anyways, saw two other Z's on my way home today as well. One guy waved and the other didn't see me. Pretty amazed how many I've seen around here. Maybe MrPsychic and I should organize a cruise and see how many we can pick up. Trindle Road/641 seems to be a hotbed.

Hey everyone, just joined and I thought I'd check in to the local thread.

Anyone in a gun metallic Z commute on 363 through Trooper? I'm the silver one that passes you everyday

I just started a new job right outside Mechanicsburg, and there are 2 Z's I now see every day in the parking lot - a black 370, and a silver 350. Anyone on here?

I have a black one sitting along Rt. 11 down near Carlisle if you go to work that way...

Hey everybody, rejoining the club with a 2018 Nismo. Quick question. Will our car pass emission with a test pipe or should i forget about it? If it won't, what power mods can be done to stay legal besides CAI and CBE ? Appreciate every response before i order stuff i won't be able to put on

It depends on which county you live in. I live in Washington County and I do not have cats. As long as the CEL is off and all my readiness monitors (except one) are responding, I will pass inspection. There is no required check to make sure you have emission controls for Washington County.

I think this is the website you can check to see if your county requires emission control devices: PA DEP I/M - Information for Pittsburgh Area Drivers
I'm guessing you live in the Pittsburgh Region (Allegheny, Beaver, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties) and it doesn't look like any of those counties require cats. Just make sure that you can keep you CEL off with the test pipes. You may need to put on O2 sensor extenders on your downstream O2 sensors if you are getting a CEL.

Wash county!? Means youíre kinda close by then lol

Iím in beaver county and went to college just south of you.

But I agree. I have ran no cats since 2011 when I bought my Z. Never failed due to no CEL and everything checking out on the computers. Now there is one way to fail and thatís visual inspection. Donít go to like a firestone store or something. They will put it on a lift and can see the cats are gone since itís usually younger kids working who know thatís a thing we do.

Depends on where you go. See my response above about visual inspections at some locations. Most wont and if there no CEL youíre good.
