I think it would be more interesting as a NA car. I think an updated and enlarged VQ with direct injection could make 400 crank hp, and the fact that they're apparently putting such an updated engine into the next Frontier makes it a possibility.

but the VR30 is the obvious choice, so if they do update the Z they'll probably go that direction.

That’s what I was thinking too. Would love to have something like that. Also if they could strip some weight out you’d have quite the car.

yea... I think it would be hard to strip much weight without increasing the price quite a bit.

BUT if they went to a transaxle drivetrain, that would be very good

Until you want to change out the POS VLSD for something else.

Oooooh yea. Instead of just a diff. Now you have have a tranny attached to the diff. Over double the weight. With wires and hoses attached too. It's no longer a simple swap once you open it up either.

There’s a white Supra in my neighborhood, it looks good. Seen a few here and there around my general area too, all either black, white or red. Still very rare, saw way way more r35 gtrs around here back in 09 when they first dropped. Leads me to believe the Supra has been a bust for Toyota.

Will never happen in the UK. Next Focus RS is rumoured to be Hybrid or it doesn't happen.

I have yet to see a new Supra on the road but then again never see 370Z's either.
