Curious to know why you're set on 18 YM and not just get a 16/17 right now..it's not like they're any different. Also, why aren't you waiting for z35?

I'm trying to wait for at least a z35 update before pulling the trigger, but it just keeps getting harder as each day goes by. I have a feeling the z35 won't be what I'm expecting and will confirm the purchase of a z34 for me.
On that note: Is it confirmed that the '18 Nismos will still have the cool new body kit?

I think I'm jumping ship for a 4c before the end of this year.

I agree. The Nismo would look great with new head lights. The bumerang design has not aged well in my opinion.

Cool new body kit? I'm not sure if I'm following - the latest nismo hasn't been changed since '15.
I'm simply going off the heritage edition BS model that's practically unchanged. I haven't heard anything about the other '18 models, but if that's the case for heritage edition I don't see why they would do anything to the nismo or any other model.

I loved the barbed headlights at first, but as time went on... meh. It looks outta place to me now.

I mean this one

Has it been like that since 2015? Time escapes me...

The 4c is bugeyed, but no worse than most porsches, and if they can deal with it on their car I'm sure I can deal with it on a fancy Fiat

I like the 'barbed' headlights on the Z. They are distinctive and they set the Z apart from other sporty vehicles. I believe that it is the round headlights that are outdated and quite passé.

We don't know what they may add in 2018 yet. Nissan hasn't made their annual press release. That said, believe it or not, Nissan always upgrades the Z. Most of it can't be seen. Whether different spring rates. Gear ratios or clutches, there's always something. Also, I'm hoping they possibly add a color to the palette and it may very well be the last model year? First and last are the best to have!!

The mixture of power and handling that the Z has does seem to be faster in most situations. That's a valid argument. Handling is only a single part of the "winning" equation. The Twins generally give up more to the Z in acceleration, than the Z gives up in handling.

Road course.... this Z driver is disgustingly bad in the Apexes and the FRS seems to be able to come in to the corner at a higher rate of speed. But he ain't really making a dent on the road course. 370z ends up in front of a 350 and the frs behind the 350.

Heritage edition doesn't come with the sport package.

The Heritage is good for Nissan to clear the stock of the base model parts and for people who want to mod the car anyway.
I thought it also comes in black? But no idea what decals you get.

If there is a real 2018 370Z, I would be surprised to see any noticeable changes.
But indeed, they changed minor things almost every year.
I would actually be surprised if they didn't pull the plug by the end of this year.

Of course it's "dead" in a straight line. Although its lack of wheel-hop nets 60ft times on par with the Z's at National Pro-Solo's.

And the other video shows that the RSX is faster than everything.

We can bench race here if you like:
Lost my sword, got a pair of scalpels

The Z vs Twins has derailed this thread too much already.
