Yes. back a bit when news on the engine was being released they mentioned that an ipl version with more hp was possible. I can't remember if it was said that its was 450 or our speculation but that would seem to be on point with a bit of a tuned version.

Like FP said, TPs, larger diameter exhaust, new intakes, and probably switching to an air-to-air intercooler, plus a tune, will easily put you over 400HP. My Mazdaspeed had all of that, with an off the shelf tune that bumped it 70HP.
Plus if they are turbo, Cobb will probably start supporting the platform since they already tune GT-Rs. So off the shelf tuning and support and probably easier to find a tuner than the current VQ.

Shouldn't waste your time with COBB their OTS maps for the R35 are garbage.
A dyno tune would be a much better choice.

If you don't mind me asking? What makes Cobb tunes garbage specifically for the R35?

I personally think almost all their tunes are garbage but the R35 would be the most similar platform. In the case of the R35 you spend a good chunk of money and don't get anywhere near as good of results as you do with a Ecutek tune.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting your post, but are you saying COBB tunes are "garbage" because the results from their canned tune are inferior to having your car tuned by a professional EcuTek tuner on a dyno?

That's what it sounds like he's saying. That the free tunes you can download and swap to your heart's content are inferior to a specific tune to your car.

I used an OTS tune for a little while and then used an e-Tuner. Both are way cheaper than a garage/dyno tune, and are quite safe for the motor. I was saving up for a real dyno tune, but could have fun while I waited.

Canada got the 2016 first too, with so little sales up here I wonder why?

Nissan Joins Apple CarPlay Bandwagon with 2017 Maxima
Apple car play coming to 2017 maxima. Android auto to be added shortly thereafter to Nissan infotainment system This is guaranteed to be a feature in the next Z. Maxima is another car that more directly mimics the Z features when looking at premium features.

![]() Excellent news if there is another Z. We still have no news nor even a rumor of it. I'm just not trying to get my hopes up if there's not. If there is then I'll be first in line to buy one.
