My guess would be the potency of the octane degraded due to sitting for so long. You can add an additive for this. Most auto stores like AutoZone, Napa, O Riley’s Etc carry this product and recommend using when storing a car for a long period of time. Not sure the correct name of this product but have seen it. My 2 cents.

After only 2 weeks?

Also, if anything a reduced octane would make the car easier to start, not harder.

I'm wondering if ice and such got in and screwed with the MAF or IAT sensors or something. That seems much more likely, and could cause the car to run pig rich on start up as well.
