My guess would be the potency of the octane degraded due to sitting for so long. You can add an additive for this. Most auto stores like AutoZone, Napa, O Riley’s Etc carry this product and recommend using when storing a car for a long period of time. Not sure the correct name of this product but have seen it. My 2 cents.
