Maybe I should replace the inserts with something else, RainX maybe.
For the person who used RainX wipers, did you have to replace the whole wiper or just the rubber inserts?
In what condition are your wipers?

The RainX set that I use on my 350z are great and they are a complete replacement for the wiper.

What size did you get for the Rain-X. I think I got the recommeded 19" and 21".

Thanks,

Shane
19 and 21. Work fine, no issues at all.

My wipers are fine and are in good shape -- like I said, they've seen very little use. I havent looked at them with a microscope lately, but like I said, they've done this from day one. They basically almost SKIP up the windshield when operating (there's nothing wrong with the windshield wiper motor btw). I've tried cleaning the rubber of the wipers thinking that's the problem, but it's not.

I've come here a few times and searched up and down and can't believe others arent complaining about this issue. Maybe it is unique to my car. Is there anything to adjust? Any advice would be highly appreciated.

This exactly just happened to me. I believe its rainx wipers do not have any arc and try to lay flat. This leaves the farthest point of the blade suspended off the glass. These are the weatherbeater model fwiw.

I'll second Jordo!'s comment that the Rain-X Latitude® Wiper Blades | Windshield Wipers fit. I tried a cheap flat pair and they did not fit due to the offset the factory wipers have which allows the wiper arms to be very low (I assume this is an aerodynamic thing). I would assume the flat Rain-X wipers would have the same problem. But the specific Rain-X Latitude models are curved and on a dry windshield (all I've had to test on so far) they seem to barley fit under the arm.

I bought Valeo's Ultimate 900 Series off Tirerack and they are awesome. It's buy one get one free so the price isn't too bad. They are amazing. I've used them on my old car too and it works wonders

P.S. - Tirerack doesn't actually have it on their site so you'll have to call them up.
