How much do you plan on paying for your 370Z?

That is exactly what I want. I'm lucky enough to be at a point in my life where my next car will be a 'third' car, a car that I will only drive when I want to, not when I have to. I can't wait. The thing about the Touring Trim will be whether or not the accessories in the package add a significant amount of weight and chip away at what Nissan has supposedly set out for us. I think the Sport Trim makes good sense for the brakes and wheels and I would probably be interested in that. So it's 6MT for me, with Sports Trim and try to get out the door around 35K max. At that price, you have a M Coupe fighter for around 18-20K less. 'Nuff said.

Will the touring trim add that much of a weight difference...?
I didn't think that it would make a weight difference by much.

Crown,
I don't think the weight difference will be that much either, after reading the spec sheet, but every little bit adds up, know what I mean? I'm in this specifically for power/weight and smiles/mile, so I don't need satnav or anything else that's not core to the 370z. 50lbs (approx what the weight difference between the Base and Touring is) isn't much, but it's 50lbs I don't need.

On another note, I wouldn't be too terribly surprised if the Z is marked up at least at the beginning. I saw the STI and Lan-Evo marked up in my hometown, the dealers called it something like a "Geographical Market Adjustment"... that's as BS as it comes. The mark-ups won't last long, but they'll be there at the beginning. Just wait it out.

I think I may be willing to raise my threshold to $35k based off of the content and features in this car.

Hmm, I really want the touring, considering it has a much better stereo system, and a direct iPod interface (control ipod through the stock headunit), as well as the hands-free bluetooth, for when you need to answer phone calls while racing at the track lol.... Sport package might be nice too, but it will probably jack the price up about 3-4k. I guess I can live without most of that stuff and then add parts that I need separately later down the road (spoilers, wheels etc).
