Ok I am looking at a leftover 09 -- car has a touring sport with splash guards and carpeted mats: MSRP: $38,490.00 Invoice based on me doing the math INCLUDING DEST: $35,495

What should I get the car for?

Is $2k under invoice good? $3k? Where should I ideally want to be?

******the prices on nissanusa.com - they include dest right?) **********

Working on getting a new 370. Has the invoice pricing changed here from what is posted?

Thanks

Christopher

I've been looking to buy a 370Z for a couple of months now, and can't find a single deal for an auto trans touring ed for under $37k+ tax.
How much should I expect to pay for the same?
{Touring Edition - Automatic Transmission (2010 preferred)
Platinum Graphite Exterior
Black Leather Interior
Navigation Package addon.}

well i do see some that are around 34k but if you add tax and the nav pack then you are looking at 38k - alot of the 370z that you are looking for start around 37k without nav and tax so if you want to get lower then hopefully the dealer wants to get rid of the car and you got some good negotiating skills you might be able to get the price that you want - good luck

Thanks for the advice. Does anyone know when the 2011 models come out? I heard something about between june and later this fall.

How much of a price drop should one expect once they come out?

windex 05-11-2010 02:11 PM

Hey guys, long time lurker, but looking to get into a 370z.
I used the numbers on the first page to get a quote from a dealer and he is showing the invoice price of a base model 2010 z is $400 more than what listed. He even sent me the invoice for the car which shows the invoice price is 28492.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Neo187H 05-12-2010 08:06 PM

You looking for 2010 invoice prices? it's in Post 1! I updated few months ago! Price difference is clearly explained there. If you're looking for 2011 model invoice price, I'm sorry. I do not have that.

The two posts above mine mention that the invoice has been raised since the last time the first post was updated, unless I'm misreading all of it? Which is likely whats happening. :icon17:

Yes prices has gone up from 2009 model year but 2010 prices are same (as far as I know). You are saying that this price has gone up? I don't think it has. Nissan usually do it ONCE a year not TWICE (unless I'm missing something. Feel free to correct me if you have the info)

Indicate that the 2010 invoice has gone up since what is posted on the first page, I haven't heard anything about this other than here in this thread so I posted up asking if anyone has more information on this.

Dam bastards! :icon17:. I stand corrected :o. The invoice price actually DID go up a little. I apologize. I'll update the invoice price tomorrow. Thanks for correcting me.

FuszNissan 05-13-2010 07:05 AM

I have a picture of the new invoice in my album that shows the change.

abakja1 05-13-2010 01:53 PM

just saw this thread,..unfortunately in Hawaii dealerships markup $3000 to the manufacturer's price.

I dont know how it is in the mainland, but we have 2 window stickers,.... 1 from the manufacturer showing the car details and cost, and a seperate window sticker that shows what the dealer added to the car as options, destination cost, and dealer markup,.....

Guess what price you need to start bargaining from that has a $3000 markup and spray undercoating they charge hundreds for??

Hey Guys

Hey guys, new to the forum. After looking around and shopping for new cars I've finally decided upon the 370Z (it was inevitable, I don't even know why I looked at other cars). Anyway I've finally decided on my criteria (manual, sports package, monterey blue, coupe) and have found a few matching my criteria. However they are all 09 models. Given the 2010 model has been out for a while and the 2011 isn't too far off how much of a discount can I expect to get off invoice.

Here's an example of one of the cars I found
2009 370Z Touring w/ sport package 6spd manual
MSRP - $37,890
Invoice - $34,840

What kind of price do you think I could expect to get and what would be a fair initial offer.

Also in regards to 2009 vs 2010. After researching I've found I can either get a 2010 base w/ sport package or a 2009 touring w/ sport package. Would anyone show a preference to one over the other or should I let cost be the deciding factor. For what it's worth I got an internet offer of $31,500 for the 2010 base w/ sport package. I'm also located in MD, USA.

Thanks,

medicbill 06-30-2010 03:57 PM

Purchase price...

I am currently looking to buy my first Z. I'm looking at one at a dealer with a sticker of $38,490...2009, MT, Touring and Sports Pkg. I usually keep my cars for 10+ years minimum, so I'm OK that it's a leftover.

In the opinion of those who've been there, what's a good purchase price?

Thanks

theDreamer 06-30-2010 03:58 PM

The remaining 09s have been going for 3,000USD under invoice.

medicbill 06-30-2010 06:01 PM

Thanks!

Any idea of the approx. invoice on the car stated?

medicbill 06-30-2010 06:04 PM

Oops! Just went back to the first page and got the invoice prices..thanks!

theDreamer 06-30-2010 06:05 PM

2009 Touring with sport (manual): $35,241 (this includes a destination fee)
This does not include any extras like floor mats, splash guards, etc.

medicbill 06-30-2010 06:52 PM

Thanks!

medicbill 06-30-2010 06:55 PM

Quick question, though...

The previous poster says $3000 under invoice on 2009. Using the invoice numbers at the start of the thread, this would be about $32,300 (w/freight). Why the disparity? Any help is appreciated...

This one has splash guards and floor mats...MSRP $38,490

theDreamer 06-30-2010 07:06 PM

I did not put in the 3,000 off the invoice price, just did the invoice pricing.
3,000 is what many of the dealerships on this forum are offering, so it might vary from place to place.

medicbill 06-30-2010 09:15 PM

I got it...thanks. We came up with the same numbers, then...good info!

optiontrader 08-03-2010 12:34 PM

A site I stumbled upon was New Cars Pricing and Comparisons Local, Regional and National Car Price Reports at TrueCar - not sure as to its accuracy, but it sure is pretty. It gave me a good idea of what to look for, but I had an offer via the Internet I really couldn't refuse going into the the dealership. It made a "I'd like a new car" to "I'm gonna buy this now".

DannyH 09-10-2010 10:07 PM

2010 Coupe - under invoice price...

The best deal I was able to get today was $500 under invoice for a 2010 coupe and i believe they would eat the dealer installed extras (bra, tint, nitrogen locking lug nuts). I left them saying flatly that any dealer would take an at invoice deal on a 2011 when it came out and I was sure that all the dealers would go under invoice for a 2010. They didn't disagree and asked what deal it would take for me to buy a 2010 today. Any thoughts on what the best amount under invoice I could get with them continuing to eat the dealer installed options?

Anybody have Nismo invoice?

My Z got totaled the other day and now waiting to hear back from the insurance company about it. So, I'm looking for a deal. I got a steal on my used 370Z and can't find another one for that price. I'm thinking of going new. The dealership around me actually has a 2009 new touring 6mt sport, but should I just grab a 2010 or 2011 since the 2009 is nearly 2 years old already? Also, it's blue and I'd rather have red or black. I don't care about too many goodies. I want a 6MT sport package with illuminated kick plates and floor mats. Just the basics. I'm figuring with destination and tax it's $33,800 at invoice. Anybody pay less than that? Obviously I'd rather have a Nismo but financially I don't think that'll work.

RiCharlie 10-18-2010 06:21 PM

What do you think

I got a 2009 with 380 miles, never before owned, auto transmission. touring and sports package for 33,000. How did I do?

I was offered a 2009 touring/sport w/ NAV for about the same price... decided to go with a 2010 touring/sport

RiCharlie 10-18-2010 07:39 PM

Well thats life. I should mention that the dealer agreed to buy out my 2010 honda accord 4 cyl that I owed 20,000 for 18,000// but either way I am happy with what I have and cant wait to actually drive it..

jpritche 10-23-2010 03:55 PM

For my graduation present I got a 2009 Sport/touring with the navigation and illuminated kick plates for $30,900. It had 37 miles on it, I thought it was a good deal.

Well when I quoted my price of $33000 i was including sales tax which here in ri is 6%. I dont know if you did the same..

hcolba 11-02-2010 09:53 AM

Just used your invoice pricing to work up a deal at a local dealership here in NJ. They had quite a few 2010 Z's in stock. So I worked up a price on a Graphite Touring Sport Auto w/nav. After a couple of emails, they said come on in and we will sell any Z in stock at $1000 under invoice, including destination. Upon sitting down with them yesterday, we were within $23 of each other, which was close enough for me. Only hitch was they tried to add $299 for glass etching, which I refused. After that, smooth sailing and I drove the car home that night. Thanks for you help!
