but then again it happened when the current gen came out. infiniti G37 came out then the Z debuted after. |
i'm interested in the price tag.

add in bigger engine add in upgraded interior subtract for competitive market share price - if going after the dumb brz/frs market? i'd say base at 35k top end 45/50k I hope not more :shakes head: anything over 50k then you might as well us it as a down payment and snag a GT-R. 14/15 MY are runnin low 80s all day at the auction with 2k miles. |

the sticker price on my 13 was 29,500 |

If they go 2 motor (4 banger T/NA & V6TT) I could see a 25k starting price for the low end Z to get people in, then for the TT you jump up to 35k and performance (Nismo) 40-45k starting price and all staying under 50k. Anything over that you are approaching GTR and pushing the Z out of its class and we don't want another 300zx again. |

not a chance I would even consider the 4 banger. 400+HP TT V6 though.....take my money NOW lol factory boost that can probably get aftermarket bump to 600HP no problem. :yum: |

look at the GT-R (yes higher end car but boosted V6 for comparison): stock 545BHP. my friend did just bolt-on's +tune and he gained around 120whp I believe. i'll try and find his dyno sheets. I know now with a built bottom end and tranny upgrade he had it tuned at 22psi and was at 780whp/735wtq. thennnnn they did more. 750whp on 93 octane last I checked and 900whp on e85 and upping the boost... soooo yea let's hope another stock boosted Nissan? engine does the same for the Z as the GT-R |
Which Mercedes engine have they been showing off in the q60?
In any other production cars today? |

So where we spend 5k now for 30whp you can spend the same amount and get 100whp. Just because it has a TT kit does not mean it will be cheaper, I imagine the prices will actually go up for the v6TT parts. The majority of people will buy the lower end engine as it will be cheaper to buy into so 70% of parts will be made for it. |

without no new name of the engine or specifics it's too hard to tell if Nissan actually built their own or outsourced. that is unless I've missed something or new news in the past 24 hours. |
