Attachment 99562 I know is old chassis... but if Nissan did something like this... obviously modern like a few brands are already doing... im going to throw my money no matter what  I wish here in PR i can find a S30 Z but over here that car is very very rare... |
Well if ford can put a turbo V6 in the new GT than a merc twin turbo V6 will be just fine for the next gen Z.

Mercedes also has a 3.5L version from what I recall. I wonder why Nissan would go with the 3.0L variation, aside from the cost, of course.

If the Z is going to get the TT engine then it needs to be a lower displacements. The 3.5L is to close to the 3.8L in the GT-R, get to find out the new GT-R motor soon hopefully as it will be in their LeMans car. |
Gt-r is supposed to be going hybrid so the separation is still there. If gt-r was staying tt v6, I doubt we'd see a rt v6 in tje new z.

They were testing it at CoTA last week (the engine in the LeMans car). The hybird system will probably be part of the AWD giving it more power on top of the V6TT. |
Yeah, didn't say it wouldn't be a v6, just saying the extra hybrid factor keeps the separation with the tt v6 Z.
|
I'm liking that torque figure. Nissan will always handicap the engine of the Z to distance it from the GTR.

considering the current nismo gt-r has just about 600hp, I would not be surprised if the new hybrid one pushes close to 700. At the very least it will have mid 600s is still plenty more than a 400 hp Z.

im ready for electric motors...
on my rc cars  |
