Next z model
Hi Guys,
I have been away for a while. I have been trying to find any info on the next Z, but have found just speculative articles and renders. Does anyone here have any info as to when the next Z will be released? Thanks. |

If you've been researching it,you probably know more than most of us OP:tiphat:
|
i heard that it's going to be a inline 5 with 2 electric motors located in the doors to power the windows.
|
Why can't they put the GT-R power plant in it? :stirthepot:

Yesterday, I ate a bowl of alphabet soup. A whole bowl - multiple sets of letters.
The resulting dump I took formed words and sentences that told me more about the next Z than Nissan has. |

No ... seriously ... Mr. Kenchan knows ... it would be best to follow his advice on such matters.
:ugh2: |
breaking news... it will actually have 4 electric motors not 2 as previously mentioned.
2 for the windows and 2 for the wipers... more details will follow. |

you know... it's gonna run on pixy juice and love. |
Unbelievable, approx 10 odd posts and no one provided any help/advice, just dumb *** comments.
I used to have a beast of a 240z and have always had an interest in the Z cars. I have tried, as i said looking for info on the net but really could not find anything. Just a suggestion it might be worth having a section on upcoming Z cars, that would make it easier for "outsiders" like myself to gather info all in one place. |

New Z info on The 370 Z forum Maybe not a butt load but ... you get the meaning. The regulars are seeing a dead horse being flogged :horse: |

We're just a bunch of sarcastic a-holes here ;) Have any pics of your old S30? Also aren't you Aussies used to being outsiders? I mean, you're on the wrong side of the hemispheres! |
fyi the search function on the site kinda blows.
if you want to find things on here the easiest way is google search. top results of anything with 370Z in the search typically will be this site. |

Honestly the latest rumor from what I heard.... The Z or the IDX. Either or. But only 1 can be built. nissan doesn't want to lose its Z community so it's a toss up. However it may contain multiple selection of engines. It will more than likely not come with a turbo due to all the problems the z32 had w warranty coverage and costs to nissan. That being said they may release a MR2/2JZ version, iron engine to hold boost pressure for after market applications. Let the people build what they want on a solid platform. The question now is. Do you bite on a yellow Z first year or wait 2-3 years for all the bugs to be fixed? Possible a 50th anniversary in 2020?!?

plus putting FI on a car is putting a lot more wear and tear than one may actually give credit for. like the CLA AMG... beast engine but seriously question its longevity. |

OP, not talking about you, just my own experience when dealing with a thread that has been covered 1k times. |

I recently heard that Nissan may use a turbo charged 4 and loose the model number designation and just call it a "Z".
I find it hard to believe they'd wait until 2020 to release whatever the next gen Z will be. |
It's gonna be called the 380Z. It will be stroked to 3.8 liters to give it increased torque, with 380 ft lbs of torque and 380 HP. It will also have 380 lbs removed in weight which will cut .38 seconds off of the 0-60 time and have an MSRP of $38,000.
Nissan engineers have been working dilligently to hit every one of those parameters. I have a spy in their design center who has seen the test mule and he swears it's true. |
