Anyone heard the new Bose vs. the 350Z's Bose? I find the 350Z's just barely good enough not to replace and was curious if the 370Z's was better or worse.

I have no idea why some here are so against the 370Z’s sound system. Unless you want people outside to hear how loud your bass is or you want the sound so loud that will hurt someone’s ears, there is absolutely no need for an aftermarket setup. Just make sure you turn up the bass and treble and it will sound nice as it is. There is enough bass and clarity in the current system and i would not recommend this as a bad system at all, definitely above average. This is just my personal opinion. |

Some people like rollin clubs. That's me... in my opinion. Being an audiophile.
And the thread having an audiophile connotation to it. The BOSE system is inadequate. Aftermarket speakers in many price ranges are superior. From infinity to focal u can make a better system in this car. Agreed that the Z is terrible for acoustics. BUT There are plenty of high quality components that's can turn the Z's handicap into an attribute. Certain speaker and dampening materials can actually make your Z bounce around sounds to near flawless quality. 300w rms to the front/50w rms rear is possible and would work perfectly in the Z considering you use advanced crossovers &eq. Your sub you would run 300wrms@4ohms It will sound good. Most will tell u the rear speaker isn't necessary but it can handle your lows in stereo while your sub pushes your lows in mono. . Or u can negate the rear speakers if ur really against it or not into using crossovers and add a fosgateibeem tactile transducer. U can also use it as a sub amp and add some bass shake into your Z "bruh". |

I have yet to hear about so many complaints on the brakes, LSD, intake, etc. because the parts provided from the factory are inferior to aftermarket ones. Get your points in check. |

Everyones opinion is gonna differ on things like this.. Makes no sense at all to argue about it..
![]() Heck, I think most OEM systems are weak.. Some may agree with me, some wont.. Do I care? No..It's my preference (or in this case my ears ![]() No need to have a flame fest in every other thread...

[QUOTE=JoeD;234330]You are comparing what's available from the after-market to factory parts. It makes absolutely no sense, and frankly...you can substitute "speakers" in your second sentence with anything this still applies. Aftermarket brake-kits in many price ranges are superior. Aftermarket LSDs in many price ranges are superior. Aftermarket cat-backs in many price ranges are superior. Aftermarket intakes in many price ranges are superior.
I have yet to hear about so many complaints on the brakes, LSD, intake, etc. because the parts provided from the factory are inferior to aftermarket ones. Get your points in check. Like I said. FROM AN AUDIOPHILE STANDPOINT. It is not worth the 900 added dollars in the whole touring package. U can order 1100 leather seats n customize the stereo yourself. FROM AN AUDIOPHILE STANDPOINT. If u don't care then get the BOSE. Change ur kotex dude. Its starting to smell. |

I don't think a 12 year air force vet with 2 tours in iraq and a college degree n 4 mechanics licenses is gonna bullsh1t me on this info. He is licensed in airframe, powerplant, autobody, and auto mechanics. So his word is good for me. N as far as where's the proof. Look it up yourselves n prove me wrong instead of jus arguing for the sake of arguing. N like I said. Why would the most hardcore of performance enthusiasts bring over right sided steering wheel cars here if there wasn't a performance benefit. What they are buying is that domestic japan spec built chassis. That's what they need most. Even in some models. Hardcore enthusiasts need the japan spec motors as well. Cuz there's a difference sometime. Especially with honda and toyota. This is extremely common knowledge. Call unique motorsports in long island ny. They import and sell these japan domestic cars. Ask them why people buy the japanese cars instead of the US imports and ask for the weight difference. There's ya homeowrk. As far as the system goes. I had a 93 rx7 fully blown n turbo'd I crammed a $3,000 900rms watt audio system in a total space that's smaller than a Z. Less insulated n if any of u have experience with the 13B? U kno a modded rotary is loud as fu€k. My system drowned out 95% of the sound in 70% power. I had alpine amps infinity speakers n crossovers, fogate subs which at the time were excellent. I been putting systems in my car since goosenecks were the craze. So I think I kno a lil something. The Z is a very hard car to get a loud system in but its not impossible if u are creative n are willing to put some time into it. If ur an audiophile? It will be worth doing. If u r nor? Then just leave it be. The bose isn't terrible in sound in general. But yes, that engine is loud and the optional stereo, to an audiophile. Will not be sufficent. Plain and simple, the bose system is good but sucks for this car. Sum of u get so combative over minor sh1t. That's wat kills stuff on here. Is it necessary to be all. " slap whoever told u that in the face" or " I don't understand guido" "Why is me saying japanese cars are lighter in weight than american cars because safety standards are much higher in america could cause so much upset? You can't express your point in a constructive manner. N then if I get at u they way u get at me. U guys start baby cryin. Save the drama 4 ya mama bruh. We all in here cuz we are enthusiasts in one way or another. Yeah I guess this thread was a terrible idea. B1octhin over 1 point of u that is purely subjective anyway. I |

Well, I'm not an audiophile and don't expect my car system to be perfect. But, as I said before, the factory system that is in my 1998 Dodge Durango (with an Infinity speaker system, also factory installed) sounds way better than my 2009 370Z. It even came with a 5-band GEQ.

UNIQUE AUTOSPORTS Contact auto body or the sales dept. Maybe u might even be able to get at Will himself. Ask them if there is a weight difference from the japan chassis that they sell and the american versions that people bring in to modify? I'm sure they'd be more than happy to answer your wannabe newbie a$$ questions... |
