i'm sure if people started calling/sending emails/letters to corporate to let our voices be heard they would have to do something about that.

Advertising also might have an influence, as it helps build and maintain ownership hype. Nissan spends more time trumpeting the Altima and Juke.
Have you seen the color combinations you can order a Juke in? Makes me jealous. |

They had Millionaire's Row, with Rolls Royce, Bentley, etc. and Maserati had representation with four cars. Multiple Mustangs, Challengers, Camaros, Evo, Toyobarus and a variety of BMWs. Alpha Romeo, Porsche...well you get my point. Not one Z car. Not even a GTR. I asked the Nissan rep what they were thinking. Nissan's flagship sports car and its little brother don't have a place, but there are 3 Muranos, 3 Altimas, Rogues and every other model out the backside? I definitely agree with you, advertising (or lack of) has some part in the Z's perception among owners and potential buyers. |

sorta sad but sorta glad... i think this shows the education of the modern 'sports' car buyer. they are looking for a mixed use car with a heavier leaning tendency to the 'sedan'
i wanted a true coupe which i define as 2 doors 2 seats. miata or s2000 were the only other viable options and well... yea... |

I bought my Z in August.
When I look at that list there is not one car I'd buy other than the Z. And it isn't like I'm exactly enamoured with it. I wouldn't buy anything domestic with a V8; the Porsches are way more than I'm willing to pay and I won't pay the service bills, same goes for anything else European. Miata and Fiat??? Sorry, I'm not gay. Hyundai Genesis? Nope. BRZ, FRS or whatever else they call 'em? Too plain Jane. If I was to go that route I'd rather have bought a Mazda 3 or a Golf. The only other car I really gave any thought about getting isn't exactly a sports car....Nissan Maxima. Just my opinion. 104 |

I had a z ,my problem with it was lack of power, cost to much to make more power, and the maxima was to close to the z power, all show and no go, FI is the only way to go to make that car fast.

I don't know about everyone else, but 95% of the time when I see someone drive a 350 or 370, its is almost ALWAYS some old guy or old woman. Maybe the age group among the sampling really speaks to the older crowd and they would now prefer a slightly roomier or more comfortable ride. I don;t know if we will ever know why it is ranked so low. IMO i think it is rather shocking. I am on my 2nd 370z and i still cant get enough

I bought my Z in April after owning several "sport compacts"
- '05 Acura RSX-S (6 speed) - '08 VW GTI (3 door, twin clutch) - '08 VW GTI (5 door, 6 speed manual) - '12 Mustang GT (6 speed) While I'd still own a GTI, the RSX is no longer made and the Mustang GT is too much car. I'm really happy with the Z. It's the Goldilocks Zone |
