Best way to get a nice loud, good, deep sound can be achieved in 4 steps. 1.Sell your Z 2. Buy this https://www.factoryfive.com/kits/mk4.../complete-kit/ 3. Then Buy this LS7 Crate Engine - Race Engine | Chevrolet 4. Finally get one of these https://www.metlife.com/individual/i...nce/index.html ![]() |

Go non res fast intentions tp and ss exhaust, sell your Stillen stuff. Or just do the spacer mod, where your axle back section meets the mid pipes, take the bolts out and put a few spacers in between the two pipes, then bolt it back again. Ghetto but effective.
You have a 370z, not a '97 civic hatchback. Nothing about this car is cheap, learn to accept that. Zdayz 2014!!

1.) Trade-in your Stillen for a Fast Intentions with non-res CBE. It has one of the loudest with deepest exhaust note out there; not to mention the incredible gains.
Or.... 2.) Make a custom portion of your Stillen by deleting the resonators or muffler. However, deleting the muffler can sound really obnoxious with decrease in performance. Sticking with the first option might cost you money but I guarantee you it's worth it. Second option will also cost few hundred bucks to have your custom exhaust fabricated. There's really no "cheap" way of getting around this. Don't be cheap and do it right. You can sell your Stillen for around $800 and buy a used FI for around $800. There's really no loss. |

Run headers with out the exhaust and you will be as loud as you possible can be (if that's your goal). It will also fit your budget concern of being cheap.
I bet you will put an exhaust back on after one day though. |

I went with the muffler delete, as I wanted my Z to sound like a sports car but I didn't want to pay $1k+ just for sound. I LOVE the sound and there is no (noticeable) power loss. It's also pretty tame, almost like stock exhaust, when in the lower rpms. Has a good growl at idle and screams when you get on it.
