Personally, I've never liked Fords and I think Mustangs are horribly ugly. Not only that but every kid from 17 to 21 owns one with the same exact exhaust system as the next one.

I love the Z culture, and I could agree that they need to up the HP on them but if they do I know they will only higher the price tag. Only time will tell.

As much of a mustang/camaro hater I am, I honestly only hate on them because of their popularity (I know its a stupid reason, but it gets stale seeing 10 of them in a 2 miles radius). But I really like the rear of the new mustang. Damn it looks hot. And does upping the hp always need to increase price? the new 5.0 shed off 200lbs and upped the power to 435hp and starts of at 32k, I think the previous 5.0 started off at the same price as well? very tempting, I guess thats why they sell well.

Well that's part of the Z culture is it not? I see 350s every now and again but around where I live I almost never see a 370z. I can't even tell you when was the last time I saw a 370z that had any mods. Now I've seen 16 modded mustangs on my way to work. Same thing with the camaro. Especially if you ride in a bad neighborhood around here, every other house is a mustang or camaro.

I think it's easier to squeeze HP out of a V8 over a V6. Like I said, I can be wrong and I am most surely a fan boy of the lineage. Just if they were to add HP, it would be a bigger V6 or turbos. Both to me would up the price.

Yes, I don't see those often at all. Ironically though, when I was younger I out raced one in my Civic Si. Since I was young, dumb and doing something illegal I won't go into it. But I spanked him, as he was trying to show off in his brand new car for his wife but it appeared he had no experience with a stick or driving. I've come a long way and dont advocate racing besides on a track.

I love Mustangs, but I didn't wait to buy one because Ford was taking forever with the specs. And for the record, the new GT weighs ~150lbs more than the previous car. Yes, it has power over the Z, but I wasn't about to buy a sports coupe that weighed more than my AWD, turbo sedan.

Power is good, but a lower weight is easier in turns. I think the Z would be perfect with an NA 3.8L or 3.9L VQ that revs to 8000rpm and lays down 375-400hp with the same weight or slightly less.

Personally, I would like to see the Z lose about 200-300 pounds and gain about 60-80HP. So your idea sounds nice.

Hopefully this isn't bad news for the future Z but it sure sounds like it is.

I hear ya brother.

American politicians and corporations LOVE to wrap themselves in the American flag to praise how they love soldiers and sailors, sending them off to fight some godforsaken war in some crap hole country. But when it suddenly comes to benefits, pay raise, or updated equipment... they're suddenly quiet, talk doublespeak, or unwilling to do anything.

It's been like that since... well... forever it seems...
