I was staring at my sleeping beauty in my car port today. I then realized not only do I need a cover to keep her clean, but a solution to stopping my neighbors menice Felis catus from sleeping on it.

Me too. That's why I debadged the "370Z" (and replaced the Nissan emblem with the satin "Z" from thezstore.com.) Less is more.

You can't really mistake a 370Z for anything else, nor a Nismo for a base/touring Z either.

It's not like you need to keep that "M3" badge on your 3-series to distinguish yourself from a 320i, 328i, 328d and 335i. :roll eyes:

My old M3 was debadged funnily enough.

Also, loving the Z badge on your ride :tup: Looks almost factory and beautiful. I looked on Z store could not locate it.

Is this what you got?

Thank you. I am getting these. For as it was for you the importance of removing the 370z badge also. I think these badges in satin work perfectly with the satin door pulls and also just making the car a Z above all with no other fuss nor muss!

Your post gave me inspiration:tup:

I was researching and noticed this.. http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/81826-s...70z-z-emblems/ these ones appear to be thicker and more three dimensional than the one from ebay which appear flatter.

Drove it to pick up some trans fluid for the beater car. Traffic and construction ruined my mood.

Yup! Perfect match for the door handles and the silver satin "Z" in the side markers/turn signals too.

Just be patient - the factory emblem "glue" is a PITA to remove. :shakes head:

Blu Z 06-27-2014 07:30 PM

My truck has been at the mechanic from last Friday to yesterday getting the power steering cooler replaced. The Z had to pull daily driver duty during that period and had gotten pretty nasty. Took a few hours this evening to clean inside & out and slap on a fresh coat of Rejex.
She's shiny again!

I'm in the process of pulling the trans for a lightweight flywheel. This is taking longer than expected...

The transmission is off of the car!

It was a hard fought battle. Here's hoping the rest goes smoothly.

I have headers coming tomorrow. We'll see which is more difficult. I'm most likely not going to bolt the tranny back on until those are installed as well.

14ZTSport 06-28-2014 12:29 PM

So today is end of week two of ownership! Picked up tags from dealer on way home from work yesterday (1st mod!). Then this morning, washed her for the first time, mainly just to get off bugs - about 20 miles of highway driving daily. Found a small 1/2 scratch on passenger side just below and in front of the "Z" and when I pulled off the front plate bracket to get the bugs off (maintenance just affixed bracket over bugs), I found the plate screws had dug into the paint (even though I asked them to make sure they didn't do that). After my initial "eek", I calmed back down knowing that I can likely buff/wax out the small scratch and the paint behind the front plate will always be covered as long as I own the car! Then I realized I have no tools to properly maintain a car at home (last car went to automatic car wash weekly), so ordered supplies that will be here before next week!

kenchan 06-28-2014 01:00 PM

motored my z this am. :D that tpms cover i made a week or so ago is  i had to look for it in the cluster.

went over 15k miles today.

qd'ed afterwards.

Finished my GTMat project in the Z. Last weekend I did the entire trunk area. Wow... what a difference in road noise. And the constant rock noises from the rear wheel wells is finally gone. Did both doors earlier this morning. Not as much difference in sound as the trunk area, but I do have to say the crappy stock radio has more base tone. And it's a little quieter too. Overall, one of the best mods I've done. Next weekend... new tunes!

Got_Z 06-28-2014 03:58 PM

Gave her a nice wash had a little photoshoot!

;) Just wanted to see if they went with the worst garbage or not. :p

I was thinking of asking them to be an outside sales person. I've found out that they lost a lot of people and money shortly after I was let go.

So far, so good. I haven't put too many miles on them yet. I had DWs that were severely cupped, so the quiet is a welcome change.
I am extremely thrilled with the price that I got. The first place that I went to quoted me over $1600 for just the tires.

Finally finished removing the stock headers. Now to do it all over again, in reverse...
