Laser. I don't have any detection whatsoever, so even with radar it doesn't matter. But everytime I get a ticket, it seems like laser.

Out 290 West just this side of Dripping Springs. It was Hays county and holy crap were they raking it in. Two motorcycle cops were literally in a constant cycle of ticketing - I pulled over in front of the other cop who already had someone pulled over and before I was finished the other cop had turned around and pulled someone over behind me again.

I got out of a ticket (no warning even) for 80 in a 65 on Mopac a few weeks ago, so I couldn't really expect it to happen again. It's been a few years since the last one, so I'll plead no contest, pay the $100 fine, and take defensive driving to keep it off my record plus the insurance deduction.

yah, its basically just bad luck (or good luck for cop).

havent been cited for over 10yrs. da last 3-4 times i got pulled over was for cop asking were my front plate waz. :ugh: so started running plates on all my cars. not worth da hassle. dey didnt ticket me for it but just got old.

I just couldn't wait until May 1st. I removed the cover disconnected the battery tender, cranked up the Z and took her out for a spin around the neighbourhood. Wow, how I missed driving the Z.

I just finished using my parents' garage to install my Swift springs. Only took about 3.5 hours all together, and came out looking awesome. The ride feels even more connected now, and smoother even though they are stiffer.

$100??? What a bargain!

My wife went to driving class last night after a $215 ticket for 47 in a 35 here. I think the class was another $60 or $80.

The cop popped her from a new hiding spot that we had noticed and discussed a week previously. She couldn't understand why I wasn't very sympathetic

Just got done changing out my winter tires. Purchased Continental ExtremeContact DWS06 and so far love the grip and how smooth of a ride it is.
Also since I had my wheels off, I decided to paint the 'nismo' on each wheel to make it a little different. I think the small detail adds a lot to the car.

I will post pic of whole car after I wash it.

Been enjoying the random backfires of my Z, twice tonight on the way home from work. One of which ended with a nice yellow flash that I saw in my mirror! Nice.

Tried twice today to remove the OEM shift knob, without destroying it. Holy fook! It is super tight and I was not able to remove it. So frustrating. Going to try a couple of other methods before I bring out the C-4.

I've heard one of these strap wrenches and a microfiber towel work well.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ac1134bf9f.jpg

I tried that method, it did not work for me. I must be one of the lucky winners of the 'sh!t load of loctite' from Nissan awards.

I tried this. Twice. The wrench broke against the power of the shift knob. Twice.

Totally agree with the loctite issues. Why Nissan why?

DeliriousClam 04-15-2017 09:38 PM

Threw codes p2096 and p2098 again after resetting the ECU so bought some o2 spacers

had my rear spoiler installed today

So my spoiler I ordered last month finally got painted and sent to the dealer for my install. I guess Black Cherry was not stocked in the pre-painted inventory from Nissan so it took about 6 weeks. Anyways I love the added style that the sport spoiler has and the paint match is good also.:icon17:

crazy4oldcars 04-16-2017 07:38 AM

Looks good. They just look ....naked... without a spoiler on them. Or like something was left off.

Seriously I had no problem with mine either

Kzonts 04-16-2017 05:30 PM

I used an oil filter strap wrench with my large ratchet and a set of large vise grips to hold the shifter. Unscrewed pretty easily,

Thanks for asking and offering. I haven't attempted it yet as I am enjoying Easter Sunday with the family. I will try again real soon as the new TK Hebi Bebi arrives tomorrow.

I must see it in person! I have the green.

Btw get some blue loctite to loc it in place facing forward. I think I may have used too much. :/

The initial amount was too little and didn't stick overnight lol

You'll have to have somebody reprogram them. Doesn't have to be the dealer. Tire shops should have one. My Discount Tire has reprogrammed mine in the past.

You will see it in person all right, since you offered your expertise to help remove the OEM shift knob. You will hold the shifter and I will rotate my Z around it. Loctite??? Fook that!!! I am using bubble gum to keep it facing forward. It works on most of our fighter jets and naval ships plus it smells great and will allow me to remove the TK shift knob if I decide to do so in the future.

mishuko 04-17-2017 02:57 PM

Blue loctite at the tip. Worked wonders. If I have to take it off... a lil heat on it and mf wrap with a strap wrench lol. Or a ruined hebi bebi Oh well. Won't be coming off anytime soon
