Put wheels on yesterday. First pic one center cap on. I was trying to decide if i wanted them on or not. I chose to leave them off.

Drove about 70 miles roundtrip for a doctor's appointment. Beautiful day so I was happy to be out of the office :driving:

My son let us know he is getting married the last week of so of April and then my daughter got a job in Portland, OR and asked me to help move her there. She has to be there the first week of June...oh and I got the "Daddy I need a car too!" And that is just part of the story. Anyway, if all goes well I will be back in 2018!

We'll miss ya this year that is for sure. Daddy business takes precedents of anything else going on. :)

Tuesday I Rolled off the cover, it's like getting a new car every spring!
Last fall when I pulled off the wheels & tires I noticed the lug nuts were a little cloudy around the base, so today I ( oh yes I did ) I spent almost 2 hrs. polishing me lug nuts :bowrofl:

Calling for 3-4 inches of snow Thursday night into Friday morn. so maybe next week I'll be able to take her out for the first time since November :happydance:

I know how you feel man. I have been hoping for nicer weather here in Ontario for a while now. The cover is still on the Z, along with the battery tender. I was waiting for the incoming rains to cleanse the roads of salt. Now I heard that Ontario will be getting snow this Friday as well, all coming from Michigan. At this rate, my Z will be out in early May.

Y'all are getting the same weather we've been getting, last night almost 2" of rain, again!
You talk about early May, last year I was on my way to the dragon & z dayz in mid May and ran into a sleet and snow storm half way through Detriot!
Freaked me out a bit because I had the summer tires on! Fortunately I was able to drive through it without any problems!
Sooooo when you said early May, I get it :rofl2:

153,000 on her, they're not 100% sure it's the head gasket, but all the signs are pointing that way....I'm not getting rid of her for sure, but she's gonna have to be put away till either i can buy a new engine or have the engine torn down to find out what's wrong with it

No worries man, i knew the car had been abused before hand and took the risk....may not be worth it to some, but this car means a lot to me so i will not be parting with it

This may be a great opportunity for you to put in a newer engine with a turbo or supercharger. Good luck.

Debadged. Put on the z emblems front and back that resemble the side markers.

Purchased replica Craftsquare mirrors with wide angle, CF, and TC-F mounting style. Excited to replace the gargantuan stock side view mirrors with something more sleek and functional. Someday I will buy the real thing with TC-N1 mounting and blue tint :yum:

Just fueled up & getting things ready for 80k mile service; logged 23.1mpg over past 650mi.
Best mileage since additional rotating mass added.

Congrats! Enjoy YOUR car!

I do find their phrase "As a courtesy" simultaneously humorous and infuriating though.

I have USB chargers and my Escort smartcord in mine. Third blank is for if I decide to add nitrous

Curtis_J 04-09-2017 02:31 PM

Thanks man! I got a contact for a guy in Toronto who makes them, will do it in just about any pattern/color you want. Cost me $40 Canadian (so about $0.11 USD) to the door and took about 10 minutes to put in.

All I did today was polish out the horrible swirls that were in my hood. They have been driving me crazy since I got the car.
