Does the GTR start button make the car start faster?

Yes, in fact it's almost as good as swapping over a GTR intake manifold :tiphat:

I'm more interested by the device where the switch blanks usually are

ChopsZ 10-01-2016 06:42 PM

Installed the all black Z1 CAI today, then gave her a well deserved bath.

Suspended insurance too.

Ah thanks for the reminder. Need to contact my insurance to get my car taken off except theft and fire....

Why such a long cure on the wax though?

Because you get details like this. Also helps shed dust easier after pulling out of storage. 3 layers of 4 Star paint sealant and 2 coats of collinite wax.

I know what you mean. The sound of the Z1 CAI along with the quiet HKS exhaust almost give the Z the sound of a Porsche flat 6 in the driver's seat.

sp911 10-05-2016 05:23 AM

washed her last night at waxed her this morning (4:30 am).

My Z is a bit louder with the FI cbe , but it sounds great with the new cai. Stay safe in FL and get the Z out of the path of hurricane Matthew! Take care.:tiphat:

I think I'll drive my Z up hurricane Matthews AZZ if it get's close enough. :)

solteroblues 10-05-2016 02:43 PM

I just ordered a set of K&N drop ins, a set of HPS post MAF tubes, an Injen cat back exhaust system, and a '15 NISMO conversion front bumper kit from Z1 with the side skirts to match... I'll get the rear bumper eventually...

I was supposed to get the ART pipes installed today, but had to cancel late last night. I have a cyst that's been on my back for 9 years or so without a single issue. Saturday it started bothering me, turning red and starting to hurt and oozing. I think when I was installing the CAI, wiggling around on my back under the car removing and re-installing the front clip, I might have aggravated it, though others say it's just coincidence that it decided to act up the same time. So instead of going to the car shop, I had to go to the human shop instead. Nowhere near as fun or pleasurable.

Thanks for the warning here in FL. The thing about this hurricane is that there's a very good chance that after it hits us and goes up the east coast, it can go back out into the water, gain strength and circle around and hit us all over again next week, possibly stronger and further west. Lovely.

Nothing much other than warming her up every single day after the foot surgery. Using my crutch on the clutch and the gas pedal to occasionally rev her up. Will get the oil cooler installed and delete my CF muffler in November.

I found an old thread about you having a random cell pic of the height using takata mini ramps. Just bought a set for myself. I can't find that thread or remember the name haha. Thanks Raf.

I can relate! I wash mine soon after I get home if it gets rained on and know it will be dry the following morning.

Nice mod list that'll keep you busy and pleased. Like many who converted, I'm happy with mine.

Screw paying $200 for race ramps. Knockoff takata mini ramps for $50 is way better. Fit under perfectly and can even use my standard jack to get under the center instead of each side to lift.

LOL, they are only meant to raise the car so you can get a jack underneath the car!

Yup. i'd rather spend $50 and use the jack I already own instead of paying $140 for a low pro jack or $200+ for race ramps.
