Just installed my blendmount for my Escort Redline. Still waiting on the wires to tap into the mirror. Just two more things to do and I am ready for Zdayz. A good cleaning and oil change and I will be ready to go. Today, Honeydo list so I can leave in piece.

Re cleared the headlights on the Z today, ordered 4 brand new firestone firehawk indy 500's and a whiteline rear differential bushing set
|
Did the dragon today.... only to find a tip was hanging and was able to pull the entire muffler portion off. So now it's literally the loudest thing in the world. Time to find a shop that can hoist and re attach it

Finally got done retouching my photo from over the weekend after a fun spirited drive. Got my Swift springs and STM exhaust installed.
Can't thank Wheels3309 here on the forum enough. We both definitely learned a lot doing springs. Mainly that a spring compressor needs to be compressed beyond hell to tighten a Swift enough to put the top hat back on. Got scary for a little. Here is my shot. I should have his Nismo edited and up by the end of the day. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous car. Photos don't do either of ours justice. http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...psbv5rtggm.jpg |

Yep... definitely learned a lot from that exercise... it'll make the installation of mine that much easier when the time comes! :tiphat: It was a fun day. Your car definitely has a nice stance now and the proper sound as well! |

That was a wicked fun experience. I may do some research on different spring compressors though since theirs no way we should have had to compress them that far. Hopefully next time we can do a truly proper cruise when the roads aren't soaked. I was struggling for a bit with the rear coming loose. I never saw your car lose traction. I was in awe haha. |

It's useless to get legal tint since it's only 70%. Yet the rear can be whatever. NY makes no sense.... |

After loosing my clutch pedal at the track (high plains raceway near denver) I finally bled my clutch.
Problem solved (I have the zspeed CSC so I wasn't too worried). That CSC gets hot though ! I'll have to be more consistent in bleeding in new RBF 600 before track days. I ordered the z1 clutch upgrade (fork style throw out mechanism) on the drive home from the track and have added it to my backlog of upgrades for fall when I hanger the Z for winter. |

70% doesn't seem realistic. |

Section 375 (12-a) of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law does not allow a windshield or front side windows that are dark. The windshield and front side windows cannot block more than 30% of the light. Seventy percent or more of the light from the outside must pass through the window. This law also applies to the rear window unless the vehicle has outside rear-view mirrors on both sides. The mirrors must give the driver a full and clear view behind the vehicle. If the vehicle is classified as a station wagon, sedan, hardtop, coupe, hatchback or convertible, the rear side windows must also allow at least seventy percent of light from the outside to pass through the window. |

my tint is at 27% and never been bothered about it... legal here is 35% |

bought a few things today from detailers domain and the rag company to replish the detailing supplies for the z, gixxer and jeep.
adams buttery wax uber foamer cannon pressure washer attachment (been using the foam master gun so this will be an upgrade in lieu of picking up a pressure washer this week) adams super vrt nanoskin autoscrub sponge fine grade stoner tarminator adams hex grip pro tire dressing aplicator adams new car shapmoo eagle edgeless 16x16 microfiber towels |
Solved my exhaust problem. Put one side on the curb, borrowed tools from MAZOC, a hydro jack from fontana folk and jacked the other side... plopped a brick under the wheel to keep it from falling and a block up front as a wheel block.
Gf helped lift the exhaust as I was under to reattach the muffler section... so much for exhaust competition Quote:
