Virginia sucks... who closes alcohol shops at 7 pm on a Saturday? !?! Lol jk

Arrived to my layover. Took a bit longer because I took a nap and pansy held us up.

About 600 miles down today...

That's Gold plastidip? Whoa, turned out pretty nice. If that's the case, you considering plastidip-ing your handles? Shouldn't be any harder than doing the wheels, I'd imagine.

Just installed my blendmount for my Escort Redline. Still waiting on the wires to tap into the mirror. Just two more things to do and I am ready for Zdayz. A good cleaning and oil change and I will be ready to go. Today, Honeydo list so I can leave in piece.

How was the drive? Beautiful place, isn't it?

DeliriousClam 05-15-2016 06:11 PM

I'm gonna leave my door handles silver just to piss all you off.

Z_ealot 05-15-2016 06:16 PM

Re cleared the headlights on the Z today, ordered 4 brand new firestone firehawk indy 500's and a whiteline rear differential bushing set

mishuko 05-15-2016 09:28 PM

Did the dragon today.... only to find a tip was hanging and was able to pull the entire muffler portion off. So now it's literally the loudest thing in the world. Time to find a shop that can hoist and re attach it

The entire time I had a blast. Cruised in no problem. Cam in through the back entrance and went really really spirited. Too bad I am having lack of muffler problems. Literally sounds like I'm running test pipes muffler delete. I'll take a video tmr and post when home... i drove back from the tail with no muffler and my ears still are ringing.

First one. Nice work  That's kinda why I got the early reservation: few days of down time to relax before things kick off.

Finally got done retouching my photo from over the weekend after a fun spirited drive. Got my Swift springs and STM exhaust installed.

Can't thank Wheels3309 here on the forum enough. We both definitely learned a lot doing springs. Mainly that a spring compressor needs to be compressed beyond hell to tighten a Swift enough to put the top hat back on. Got scary for a little.

Here is my shot. I should have his Nismo edited and up by the end of the day. Gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous car. Photos don't do either of ours justice.

Shot came out nice dude! looks much more ominous than it actually was lol!

Yep... definitely learned a lot from that exercise... it'll make the installation of mine that much easier when the time comes! :tiphat: It was a fun day.

Your car definitely has a nice stance now and the proper sound as well!

I'm tweaking the shot of your car now to look as stormy as mine. A little tougher with your car being white. haha.

That was a wicked fun experience. I may do some research on different spring compressors though since theirs no way we should have had to compress them that far.

Hopefully next time we can do a truly proper cruise when the roads aren't soaked. I was struggling for a bit with the rear coming loose. I never saw your car lose traction. I was in awe haha.

Come to NY and tell me to get them tinted. I'll let you pay the tickets for me when I get one every other week. I'll be lucky to get away with my exhaust. The cops here don't mess around with stuff like that. Makes my life miserable.

It's useless to get legal tint since it's only 70%. Yet the rear can be whatever. NY makes no sense....

Ontario is about the same, especially when it comes to sports/sportier vehicles. That's socialism for you, always telling you what you CANNOT do. The CAN DO list gets smaller and smaller as the years go by. Now they are even talking about reinstalling photo radar on our highways.

Yeah... this. They are not the least bit accommodating with window tint around these parts... I've had my share of tix in the past... thats why I'm keeping this one tint-free. Hell, I push my luck everyday not running a front plate!

After loosing my clutch pedal at the track (high plains raceway near denver) I finally bled my clutch.

Problem solved (I have the zspeed CSC so I wasn't too worried).

That CSC gets hot though ! I'll have to be more consistent in bleeding in new RBF 600 before track days.

I ordered the z1 clutch upgrade (fork style throw out mechanism) on the drive home from the track and have added it to my backlog of upgrades for fall when I hanger the Z for winter.

isn't it 35% on side windows and then the rear can be as much as you want?

70% doesn't seem realistic.

Haha, you're funny. This is straight from the DMV:

Section 375 (12-a) of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic Law does not allow a windshield or front side windows that are dark. The windshield and front side windows cannot block more than 30% of the light. Seventy percent or more of the light from the outside must pass through the window. This law also applies to the rear window unless the vehicle has outside rear-view mirrors on both sides. The mirrors must give the driver a full and clear view behind the vehicle.

If the vehicle is classified as a station wagon, sedan, hardtop, coupe, hatchback or convertible, the rear side windows must also allow at least seventy percent of light from the outside to pass through the window.

You have absolutely nooooo idea. Basically any mod is considered illegal here. My exhaust is considered to loud for sure, but motorcycles can run straight pipes for days without any consideration. Everything here is halfassed.

bought a few things today from detailers domain and the rag company to replish the detailing supplies for the z, gixxer and jeep.

adams buttery wax
uber foamer cannon pressure washer attachment (been using the foam master gun so this will be an upgrade in lieu of picking up a pressure washer this week)
adams super vrt
nanoskin autoscrub sponge fine grade
stoner tarminator
adams hex grip pro tire dressing aplicator
adams new car shapmoo
eagle edgeless 16x16 microfiber towels

mishuko 05-16-2016 09:23 PM

Solved my exhaust problem. Put one side on the curb, borrowed tools from MAZOC, a hydro jack from fontana folk and jacked the other side... plopped a brick under the wheel to keep it from falling and a block up front as a wheel block.

Gf helped lift the exhaust as I was under to reattach the muffler section... so much for exhaust competition
