in the middle of the night, some asshat tried to take one of my b-pillar covers off and cracked off the corner of it  luckily the cracked off piece was right on the ground. I glued it back together and vinyl wrapped them both so they match until I source another one for the passenger side. Doesn't look great up close but it's passable

What did you do with your Z today VI (ON TOPIC DISCUSSION ONLY)

Wow. Must be another Z owner.. Can't believe someone would do that to a fellow Z driver. smh

Edit: I'm assuming you must have really nice b pillars and they wanted it for their car. Unless they're just aholes trying to vandalize your ride

Got all my parts in finally. ALso got some driving time in for the first time this season!!! Missed it soooo much.

NRG tow strap installed. (I keep it tucked into the grill when driving so it doesn't rub the paper thin paint.
http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...psucxsidmz.jpg

Swift springs and STM axle-back exhaust arrived finally for install later this month.
http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...psvh1vuzug.jpg

Mr. Madwi's PW:JDM got installed finally although idk if I like this or the V2 more. May swap between the 4 knobs I own hahaha
http://i1097.photobucket.com/albums/...psds8at6sq.jpg

Finally, went to Jimmy Johns for lunch as a quick drive with the Lady. #11 with extra hot peppers and oregano. :yum:. QD'ed afterwards and back under the cover she went.

Took the Z out to the back roads this afternoon to let off some steam. Such a great stress reliever to rip through the gears.

Day before the asshat attacked, the Z got its first wash and wax of the season.

Also thanks to a real bro on this forum I'm getting a set of carbon fiber covers in June

Installed an RJM clutch pedal assembly for a local forum member this morning. About 90 minutes of install time (including breaks) and 15 minutes for adjustments = another happy RJM customer  :driving:

Rev 3 is nice. Think I might upgrade my Rev 2 unit ;)

Yesterday at the shopping center with GF in the 370... A bunch of guys crossing the road across on the other side of the intersection must have gotten neck cramps oogling the car - one guy actually stopped and stared as I passed... then for kicks, I asked the GF to keep an eye on them as I goosed it a little... the FI exhaust roared its deep throated growl and the guys stopped and turned to look again... It was hilarious and oh so good!

Today, passing a NAPA auto parts store I noticed two of the NAPA employees standing out there taking a break - as I got to the light in front of the store one of the guys put his hand up to his ear - signaling me to rev it up... of course I did as I sat at the light - I promise you, the guy clasped his hands together as if he was having a religious experience! There I was laughing my butt off as I roared away from the light for a about 50 yards before I had to slow back down on account of traffic...

I am SO proud of my Baby! :driving::tiphat::tup:

From the car behind me, I heard those words that every gear head longs to hear. "Hey! Get on it. Let's see what that thing'll do."

Far be it from me to disappoint!

I got majority of my Z1 CAI installed, filters sit on top of crash bar on this design...minor trimming to the upper core support; so piping doesn't get pinched or rubbed.http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...a5747045bb.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...77d4b922a6.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...d7d9f23088.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...463256ca96.jpghttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...070173acb4.jpg
Gonna add a couple insulated clamps around base of filters-to hold in place (even though everything is snug, when put back together) also, glad this is not a daily driver/ as I have seen videos how some people rush the install....taking my sweet AZZ time here.

Got to say that this winter weather in April, here in Toronto, is just killing me. I took the cover off of my stored Z and admired her for about 10 minutes. Then I put the cover back on her and cursed the snow for about an hour.

Washing carpets??? Get the weathertech floor liners and do away with all the extra work and dust.

Gamma, sorta. It is actually an unused GTM Stage 1.5 I bought from a member on here. They donīt offer the 1.5 anymore, basically a Stage 2 with the smaller Stage 1 Compressor.

Well right now I am trying to get a hold of them to see if the have a map for my ECU. If not, I guess I am towing it to the nearest UpRev shop. I have emailed, messaged on FB and IG. The only thing left is to call them and see if I can get a hold of them on that way. Smells of same ol' GTM to me, at this point.

I have trouble getting them to respond over email as well but they do answer the phones.

someone else mentioned the same thing. i will hit them up this week. hopefully i can get it hashed out.

i am on the verge of going ECUtek so it might all be for naught, but itīs likely that I will have it back together before I have the funds for an ECUtek and the tuning, so itīd be nice to drive it til I get the $$$ (especially because ZdayZ).

Jealous! That's the exact kit I want but am too scared given GTMs old rep and Gamma is too new for me to be comfortable buying from.

ran it thru the car wash since winter is over to get all the sand and salt off the undercarriage.

Ordering a new undershroud because mine got torn up yesterday...

Yellow lab probably a good 80 lbs laying horizontal in the right hand lane. The 18 wheelers ahead didn't even move (expected), and the lifted pickup truck in front of me made a slow lane change and cleared it at the last second (). By the time I recognized the problem, I did not feel that I had a safe maneuver that would ensure my wheels missed completely, so I just hit it full on at 75 mph :eekdance:

Pulled over immediately and didn't see any outright damage other than the plastic undershroud being torn up. I called a fellow Z (300ZX) owner I know in San Antonio, and he told me to bring it by right away. He let me put it up on his shop's lift in the middle of a busy work day, and I gave him the $40 cash I had on me. Love this community

Front chin spoiler seems to be in mostly ok condition though it is bent back pretty good. There is a small crack on the underside of the bumper that isn't visible. The plastic undershroud is torn (good excuse to finally get the ZSpeed one). The FI exhaust took a small dent on the underside of the passenger side muffler piping (not the CF mufflers themselves). That's about it for the damage. Since the car was driveable and I was already behind schedule, I headed off to Lockhart for my next appointment.

Looking at the car on the lift, blood and guts were all over the undercarriage. The jagged edges of the chassis "w" brace caught a good amount of fur and bits. The cavity for the OEM muffler was also peppered with blood and bits as my impact rolled the dog over. On my way to Lockhart (2nd inspection), I drove through a good rain at 85 mph hoping that would clean off some. But after I got home, it did not appear to do much. The hour long drive before I hit the rain must have cooked everything. I put the car on jack stands in the driveway and hit it with the hose and an old wheel brush for about 45 minutes before I was happy with the results. I pulled the car into the garage and after 15 minutes the garage stunk like dead fish. So I parked in the driveway last night and got a nice wash from the rain (no hail, thankfully).

After inspecting my dashcam footage for the incident I discovered several gaps in the recordings, including this incident. I think it might be the microSD card I'm using. I am purchasing one with a specifically high sustained write speed and will test it out at the next chance I get. I've done numerous trips to DFW (about the same distance as my trip yesterday) and the previous microSD card didn't have any problems recording the entire trip. I stole that card for my GoPro because the GoPro is even more picky about sustained write speeds than the dashcam.

Make sure you really wash (power spray?) the undersides or you'll be sniffing rotten meat for months (source: hit bloated raccoon corpse and still found fur chunks until sold car 4 years later)
